There will be plenty of new tactics to discover when SNMC comes. Just like when I first started playing C&C Renegade, when I put mines behind the top of the doorways so enemies didn't see them as they walked through. I was the first to discover that idea.
This is what people normally do... well, at least the people with the skill to know to mine doors in the first place, so they don't lose buildings and get crippled they very first 2 minutes of the game. However, the Repair Gun, sort of like the support's hhgun except it fires a straight nontracking beam at half the length, can heal buildings, heal people, heal vehicles, and... un-heal landmines, which means decreases their health and they simply fizzle and not explode when it hits empty. Takes a couple of seconds, but often enough you can disarm enough to make the few remaining non-fatal, and go in to destroy the building with c4 charges. So instead, I throw the mines directly against the wall above the door. Done correctly, their explosive proximity covers the angle you would need to aim a repair gun at it to disarm. This way, you kill at least someone with the mines. Spread the mines out, you can get them to detonate in 2 waves, killing 2 people since you can have 6 and 3 are fatal.

The thing is, no one really cares about SMNC. I've watched the gameplay and it was sooo boring and waaay too slow paced.
