I brought MNC when it was first released and have had it ever since. It replace my Shadowrun for me as a few hours a day game. But unfortunately the game has no become unplayable with the extreme overweight of the Assault class. My message to anyone thinking about forking out gamepoints for this dont bother anymore. Had its time was a very good game.
if you don't want to deal with pub assaults, come play private matches with us. It's a high caliber level of game play, and we normally split the teams by skill/classes so there is 1 of each class.
privates with good people are the only way to play this game for PM community. if we go into pubs we clear the room in 1 game. if good people come in (even partied) they ragequit after about 5 minutes (if we're lucky). so our options are : 1. play privates with good players and laugh at everyone around us who criticizes us for playing mnc "competitively" 2. play pubs one search at a time and hope to join a match in progress within a few mins of its start and then likely suffer through 4 host migrations and an eventually broken lobby 3. wait a thousand lifetimes for the public community to not be so bad that 1 PM player can completely dominate a lobby of 12 total people
^ this after the privates are over and people just wanna bullshit in pubs, the longest i think i've seen a lobby last was 5 games and that was with choiio, ram, and i doing that "splode-a-pro" thing the whole time

The problem is, when it comes to veterans of this game, you're pretty much always going to do well. Even if you're just messing around, you know this game well enough to not die and get the kills you want. In the eyes of the newer players or players who aren't all that good, you're still doing well and they just don't want to play against that.
