Severe matchmaking and lag problems...

I created an account on this site for the sole purpose of posting this...

So first I downloaded the demo,I really enjoyed it,and didn't have any problems playing. So I decided to buy the game.

I was able to play some games,with the matchmaking taking far too long to find players,but I stuck with it 'cause I didn't have much else to do. But today it's just been ridiculous! I was waiting for +45 mins, sometimes a player joined,but then he/she left because it was just taking to long. So I just gave up in the end... I mean,seriously,I never have any problems in other online games on my Xbox,and IF,somehow I get in to a match that is already ongoing, I have terrible lag at times.


I payed 1200 MS points for this,and I am very,very dissapointed,frustrated and angry at the fact I cannot play this game.

How's ur NAT setting? You may be an very incapatable host ;P if u join a lobby where players won't join, which I've found, find another if you can. And alot of us, me included, hve had bad lag problems recently. I think the servers are overloaded due to the unpredicted popularity of the game. MW2 actually had a similar problem..

And about the lag,fair enough I suppose, I thought it wasn't popular at all because I couldn't find any players...

I often leave lobby,click quick match,and the same thing happens all over...

Hey, I also live in Belgium so maybe I can add my 2 cents here.

As for finding matches, I don't have to wait that long. When I can't find a match, I am made host and people will join. Now as for the waiting +45 mins... if you've been in a game and people start to leave up to the point where you don't have enough players for another game, it takes ridiculously long for another player to eventually show up. More than not, people will actually start to leave because it's taking way too long for another player to join, making you need even more people to start. It's as if these incomplete lists are put at the back of the priority list. You're much faster by leaving the lobby yourself and joining a new one.

It also depends on when you play. I usually don't have much lag when playing, but just now it was absurd. Okay, there's more people from the US online at this time than there are Europeans, but this was unplayable. And to make matters worse, I think the game finds it amusing to keep throwing you back in the same game after you have left. I left a game because I couldn't play due to the amount of lag, started looking for another game... and where did I end up? Yup, back in the same laggy game. And the not-so-funny part is, I left that game 4-5 times and I always got put back in it. :x

So all in all, I don't have that much trouble finding a room. As long as there is no lag, all things are fine. But like most games, the fun gets sucked right out when there is lag involved.

And I couldn't agree with you more on the last part.

Yeah, I usually wait no more than 5 minutes. If by then I still don't have enough players to start a game, I just leave and look for another game. Eventually, you'll get into a full game.

I live in the Netherlands and i don't have to much trouble finding games. Sure i get put into laggy games sometimes, but mostly it's allright.

If you end up in a lobby, just wait it out abit, if no one joins within a few minutes it's best to back out and select quick match again.

What really sucks is when you win with a really great kill death ratio, mvp, etc. Then you get a disconnect from host and lose your....... :x

Last night was the worst MNC experience I've had yet, which is sad because I'm pretty much obsessed with this game.

I think since it was a Monday, most players were on teams and the servers were at capacity. Just the same, every game I played in a two-hour span had severe lag issues, causing rage quits and glitches (level 2 abilities remained at level one, despite the purchase).

I just kept playing in the hopes that the next game would finally work, but it. never. happened.
