In my opinion there should really only be one assassin per team, but goddamn i find people stacking up to 3, one time even 4, assassins PER team. Wanna know the worst part? They suck, most of the time they're K/D ration is something like 9/20 or so. Look i understand that the assassin is one of the weakest classes. The assassin isn't the class you expect to live through a barrage of bullets from the gunner , but the assassin is (really) a skill demanding class, specially do it being weaker than a butterfly.I bet most of this dudes choose the assassins due to her being arguably one of the coolest looking classes.
Bt itz realli kule whn u go all stabbystabby! My guess is that's the real reason why everyone chooses assassin. Unfortunately, this thread falls under the heading of preaching to the choir I think. Most of the guys I've seen here play Tank or Support.
Allowing class switching while alive could help with this problem. Sometimes i'll choose assassin, then see that 2-3 other people did too, but by then it's too late to switch easily
You know, that's what almost everyone thinks (including me... or well, I used to think like that ), but I wonder if that's really true. We just assume it's like that. And true, the negative K/D ratio does somewhat support this theory, but the Assassin is the most fragile character out there. Just a few bullets and it's buh-bye for her. And while everyone is complaining about how people suck with the Assassin... just remember that this game is just over a week old. How can you be skillful at something if you're being shunned for even trying the Assassin? You may have guessed by now that the Assassin is my prefered class. And yes, my negative K/D ratio was up the wahzoo the first days. But now, unless I'm having an off-day or facing really good players, my K/D is around 3/1. If I had listened to everyone's whining about how I suck as an Assassin, about how I'm a kid who only wants to 'stabbystabby' people (which is a funny statement when I'm nearing the 30)... I would never have been able to improve my game. There's so many tricks I've picked up from simply playing and failing as an Assassin. But yeah... people don't seem to be very tolerant towards people trying and learning. So instead of telling people how and what to play, you should give them the chance first for finding out which class is for them and give them the opportunity to improve their game. I've seen bad players in every class... so don't go pointing all your pitchforks to the Assassins out there.
Some people just want to play the 'cool' class. In one game I joined a couple days ago most of the enemy team were assassins, they just kept trying to rush me over and over again failing every single time, heck most of the time they weren't even cloaked! The game was over in about 2 minutes giving me a score of 20 kills and 0 deaths, silly assassins.
i wouldnt say at anytime during the game, perharps the first 8 seconds of when u choose ur class u can change.
Classes that stab stuff have been overplayed in any game I've ever played that has a class that can stab stuff.
I'd say being able to switch anytime you're in the spawn area would be great. Can't count the number of times that our team was ruined because we had 3 assassins instead of 2 (which I still think is too much)
A few friends and I once completely stacked our entire team full of assassins. We won in about 7 minutes. It's not the class that's bad, it's the players.
i had a game where the other team had 4 assassins, and 2 snipers. SERIOUSLY!?!? what are you guys gonna do? needless to say, the game was over in 3 min or less.
For the sake of disagreeing, I officially change the term "pancake" into "assassin". I will now stack my assassins as high as I want tyvm! But for reelz, just wait to pick until 3 or 4 of your teammates have already picked. ProTip: You can watch the score board to see what team comp your up against before you yourself picks.
I do this most of the time. Funny thing is where four spots stay open for like ten seconds. Then I'm like, "Fine, I'll pick." I like Assassin and support. I won't play either on a team with two or more of 'em, though.
Just having a little fun with stereotypes. If I was always joining games with 5 really bad gunners it would be the same. I'm not interested in 'telling people how to play' or anything like that, I still stay in the game and lose/win do well/do badly accordingly. Everyone bought the game and has the right to play how they want, but in the same ball-park, I reserve the right to get a little frustrated when I feel like we'd be doing better if the team was more balanced.
Hehe, I know what you mean. I also can't help to roll my eyes when I see 3 Assassins in my team. And sure, there's probably a lot of kids playing the Assassin. I'm sure a lot of kids are playing the other classes as well. As a Gunner all they have to do is upgrade to Passive 3, buy Juice and go to town. As an Assassin it's easier to be identified as a 'bad' player (or kid if you like). Yesterday I was doing a faceplam at the opponent's Assassin. I was playing as the Support, and was kickin' it in my base by building turrets. I had my Firebase right next to me as well, so I was surrounded by 3 friendly turrets... when I see this blue glow approaching me from the front. You just know it's gonna end bad for that guy. And yup, front grapple which I survived... Assassin was dead by the time I got back on my feet. And that was just 1 Assassin. So I can imagine the horror for having 3 such Assassins on your team.
Oh jeez, I can relate with that. Yesterday when there was about 4 Assassins on there team. Best time of my life. Assassins did not even bothered cloaking or cloaked the moment they jumped down infront of my support. And boy was my trigger finger itchy. Raked out about 16 kills from nothing but assassins trying to grapple me, All with the power of my trusty shotgun. (Though atleast they learned and managed to take the other route around the map to get to me ._.)
Let them all be Assassins. Let them also all run into my traps without a second thought so I can headshot them or punt them.
played against a team last night of 5 assassins, it was brilliant! I was with my friends and we're a pretty good team so they all went Tank and i went assassin to counter-assassinate. Over 4 games we completely obliterated them and they didnt get many kills, i ended up with a massive k/d ratio from just stalking them and making sure i didnt grapple kill (with enemy assassins around its a dangerous thing to do). So thanks noobs that choose assassin, you make it easier for us to win!
