ok i play the support all the time its my fav class and i dont like how people who get killed by the fire base think that its over powered. obviously they put them self in the situation to get killed, if you were good at the game after it got you the first time you would take it out efficiently. there are ways to do this.

    in the supports shoes...
playing as the support, yes i understand how it could be considered cheap but hey i also see it as being underpowered well not underpowered but well balanced..

countless times have i been friebase chilling and get one shotted by an assassin only to have her cloak and bugger off

countless times has there been a gunner smashing me in the face right beside my turret only to have it shoot at a bot in the distance.

if any nerfs are made to the turret, it will ruin the class but if it is debuffed, would the devs consider having the base target the closest enemy or pros over bots this would be great =)

    peace out brotha's

maybe you should play more other classes first before you justify the support class

Each class has a counterpoint. People have been getting upset because the Support's counterpoint is strategy...and people would rather run and gun.

As a support player myself, I get PISSSSEEED when I meet a team that has good strategy, because I end up going 4-3-15 or something close to that.

He raises some valid issues, me being a support player myself. The target priority for the firebase can get frustrating sometimes... if its shooting at a bot and a pro gets into its radius, it will still continue firing at the bot instead of the pro, who most likely will be targeting the firebase. Frustrating sometimes... but this may be a balance thing. If the pro is preoccupied w/ the firebase, I guess you can go and shotty the guy.

My biggest gripe is with the heal/hurt gun and how it targets when there are multiple bots/pros on screen, especially friendlies. There've been many times when I want to overheal a blackjack and it will instead lock onto a slim in front of it, even if I'm behind the formation. It takes a bit of effort to get it to target properly, and in a fast paced game like this, sometimes a bit too long before I get manhandled. And every once in a while my heal/hurt beam won't be seen... usually happens when there's a lot of action on screen (bots and pros slugging it out)

I assume you mean your Firebase?

The Firebase locks on to the first thing in it's range, and then sticks with that target until it is destroyed. Then it selects a new target, starting with the closest one.

This "dumb target acquisition" is pretty much the ONLY thing allowing a medium or short ranged Pro to attack a Firebase, or bypass one. The strategy is to come in with a group of Bots, and then attack / run past the Firebase while it's locked on to a bot.

If Uber changed the Firebase to switch to Pros preferentially, the gameplay for many of the other classes would suffer greatly.

^^^ yes please dont think im one sided in this situation. i said if people new what they were doing the firebase can be dealt with, i only said change the targeting system if it was nerfed.
