I lived two blocks over from Ground Zero (in the 90W building off of Rector) for almost half a decade. The police and fire station were right across the street from my apartment, and I got to know a lot of the surviving first responders. Last weekend, I felt like watching "Man on Wire" as my 9/11 thing and I'm not being glib - I'd rather on focus on something very special that happened while the towers were standing than turn on any major TV station and watch them try to cash in on death on destruction.

It's sad the direction this thread has taken. Thank you Junior Barnes for that post, at least some of us are human.

I was born and raised in NY and have and had family that were firefighters for the city and the state. I also have family that worked for Con Edison which is the power company for NYC and most of Long Island. I am proud and honored to say that my family helped out during this tragedy.

Most people tend to focus on the negative and bad things that happened that day and the days to follow. I prefer to remember all of the positive and great human beings that did all they could.

The Star Spangled Banner may be an 197 year old poem but when America goes through travesties such as "9/11" it shows that it still holds great value!

"And the rockets red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there"

How strong those two lines are and how relevant it was is just eerie because the Flag that was flying that day at The World Trade Center is still around and did not perish during this horrible event.

New York City and State Firefighters are and will always be America's Heroes on that day!

Jesus Christ Vlane, I always knew you had below room-temperature IQ, but now you're making me think you're at freezer door-temperature IQ.

Anyway, those who lost people in the incident have my respects, and may God bless them.

Nope, Vlane have a North Pole - temperature IQ.

He sucks at trolling and deep down he knows it.

    He's still trying his best.

I guess his next reply will be the same.

    Too bad, Vlane.

I did a better job at trolling Immortal than you trolling me.

Wow a thread about 9/11 is reduced to a thread about who's the better troll.

Message me if you want this thread opened.
