Playing from abroad

So, I have been without MNC for nearly 2 months now because, much to my dismay, sadness, and shame, I seemingly cannot play MNC from my new home, Japan.

I tried connecting through the VPN I use for Netflix, but alas, no go.

Is it possible to connect to the servers from Japan? I've heard rumors that it is (someone told me Hobo with a Shotgun does).

Input would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hobo-With-A-Shotgun lives in Japan and has a ping of 40ms to EU servers. True story.

Playing from Japan is possible (L-Spiro does it) so there shouldn't be too much of a problem in that regard.

Do you have any details on how he does this?

I'll try to track him down on Steam (or here) but not sure if that will be possible.

He probably has the same fiber optic I do (NTT), so hopefully my ping will be similar.

Edit: Hmmm, ok, apparently I can connect to servers now without any issue. Apparently my internet was being cantankerous before.

Sadly, pings are not so hot

I actually play with a Satellite connection from my luxury yacht.

I would recommend buying a luxury yacht.
