Can someone explain to me how to Free 2 Play game makes a good amount of money. I mean there are only like 50 people who play MNC anyway right, so 50 people are going to keep Uber alive?

Free 2 Play makes no money.

    KeyWord: "Free"

Riot are currently swimming in vast lakes of their own money.

I think that, if done correctly, the F2P model nets a hell of a lot more money than a one-off payment ever can. I've read on Reddit a few times where people show how much they've paid for skins/boosts and a surprising amount have paid 40/80/120+.

I have no idea how Uber is going to implement it though. It's not a very popular game to start with. Are they just going to release...skins? Hats? Abilities? Maps?

    I agree.

Also my thread got locked ;) tbh as trollish as it sounds, my point that I made in that thread still holds its ground and is truly my opinion in regards to people in this thread. You have no right to criticize anybody because you decided to buy outdated hardware.

Re: What's with all the negativitism?

I don't bother converting. There is no reason for you not to play on PC outside from a few exclusives or competition simply being nonexistent on PC (ala fighting games). Doesn't change the fact that xbox gamers have no right to complain about PC getting more when it is simply a better platform 90% of the time.

Its all the complaining that aggravates me. i could care less if you, for whatever reason, choose not to play on a PC but don't complain because you made the choice not to. I am not totally trashing on consoles here. I started on xbox and I get more use out of my Xbox than my Pc alot of the time but thats only because I play alot of Street fighter and the competition on Pc is just not there. Plus most fighters don't even make it to PC.

The fact that it's free is going to draw people in.

Like the guys at The Escapist say it is very important that most of your content be free and the things you buy are not related to your power. Buying important content is wrong because it splits the community (Like most Xbox DLC do). It is very much possible to have a free to play game and make money if you know what you are doing.

The discussion of monetization was quite the informative one.

Extra Credits was quite right. Players must purchase convenience, not power.

It's like, you give one of your children a slice of cake, but then you give the rest of the cake to your other child. It's just simply not fair.

Because if you stopped yourself and thought about that post you would have looked at all the games that recently went f2p or were from the beginning that make obscene amounts of money and are only free for those that do not choose to pay for added content.
