    Watch Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, Higurashi no Naku Koro ni, Darker Than Black or Code Geass if you want something that is good all the time.

    My personal favorites are School Rumble Season 1 and 2, Clannad Season 1 and 2. InuYasha Season 1 and 2.
    More drama, less action, the better.
