Why no option to turn off Aim Assist?

I find it bothersome. Better yet, get rid of it all together.

I second this motion. I always end up over-correcting my aim since auto-aim pushes it enough. Given, I hardly notice it in MNC but it does get a little annoying when I do.

Yeah, make an option to turn this off.

It is highly annoying when aim assist actually makes it nearly impossible to hit someone by preventing you from adjusting for lag.

a few months back there was a pretty in-depth discussion about aim-assist and the reason its needed in nearly every shooter. Scathis discussed the differences in aim-assist vs. snap-targeting and such and explained that without aim-assist we would all be outright frustrated that we couldnt hit anyone.

It's not aim assist.. It really is snap targeting. Either that, or my subconscious has some mad aiming skills.

Yeah, I've read about people's experiences with it in game. It's not something I'm for or against, I just play the game.

It annoys me occasionally. But my point is, I don't think it was intended to be like that.

This is why PC gamers think console gamers suck, is because we "need" auto aim. But I think we don't need auto aim, or at least I don't. I used to play Halo CE on PC with no auto aim and still go massively positive. I prefer controller, and I'm better with it.

I logged an issue into our database for us to look at this.

Does anyone actually depend on aim-assist? I only ever get it with a good UK host and found it makes quite a difference on gunner, SMG sniper and assault.
I noticed on one of Xeno's gunner vids he said he doesn't claw but with aim-assist he doesn't have to.
I've also had some unintentional kills on assassins when rail gunning a distant group of bots. She gets targeted even though I can't see her.

you never HAVE to claw, it is just always an advantage, with or without aim assist. the extra finger on your face buttons is just a plus because no matter how fast you can move your thumb back and forth, its just a simple fact that your thumb never leaving your right analog is more efficient.

Why are PC players discussing this here? If you do not want to deform your hands and walk around like a t-rex with carpal-tunnel, just buy one of these(people that claw are not that special and several people are using these, claiming they don't)
