I'm running an ATI 4850 running Catalyst 11.5 in Win 7 64bit. Even though I've set the texture quality to high, it's obvious that some textures are not loading the high quality versions. For example, Bullseye's teeth, cuffs, and socks are blocky. Pit Girl has a seam down the center of her face. Certain map textures are also very low, while others seem high quality. It looks worse than the 360 version. I've adjusted the graphics quality sliders all over the place, reloaded the game, etc. I've tried reinstalling the game in Steam but that didn't work. I tested the game on my laptop with a Geforce 330m and the high quality textures work fine there. Anybody else experience issues with high quality textures loading?
Have you tried an older version of the ATI driver yet? I'm still running 10.9 and I have not noticed the issues you describe. PS: I have a HD5770 though.
Just checked and I was actually running the latest Catalyst 11.6. I'll try to downgrade to 10.9 and see if that helps.
I asked Ekanaut, the Art Director, and he said it might be a problem with the graphics settings not saving properly for you. Try to set everything to default and look if that helps with the issue. Maybe it's a problem with the amount of graphic memory of your card. Can you please send your support files to support@uberent.com More info on what to send is here: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/s ... ?t=1738966 Good luck!
We're looking into it. It's a bug in texture clamping that's affecting your card. There isn't a known workaround at this time.
It seems my videocard was possibly faulty. I started experiencing graphical glitches in other games (though the glitches weren't similar to this texture glitch in MNC), so I decided to just buy a new card. I have now replaced my 4850 with a 6770, and can report that the textures in MNC now load properly. Thanks for everyone's help!
Damn! Now I have the black hole artifacts that I read was an issue with ATI cards. Any fix or workaround for that yet?
Don't look at them. Cool guys don't look at 'splosions... Na, I have a 5770 and the same issue but after a while you won't notice them any more. There is hope that this issue will be fixed when MNC is updated to the new Unreal engine in the near future.
