Remove juice

This is a pretty skill-based game, and that is something you need to understand. You will NOT be able to pick it up in your first or second try. It should take you at least to level 99 to be able to hold your own with gunskill. it will probably take >150 more levels to start learning the tricks of the trade. at this point, you will start learning that everything you think is overpowered is not actually overpowered in the least.

Another way to efficiently judge effectiveness of certain strategies is to get into a private match. the only difference between a private match and a public one is that in privs, everyone is doing their job and communicating. so basically, a private match is how the game is supposed to run.

As someone who just earned their first bot icon last weekend, I am highly offended by this statement.

...In seriousness, though, it really only takes you that long to figure this stuff out if you don't care. Anyone who's paying attention can figure out the roles for each class, how to Juice control, how to deal with certain other classes in situation X, et cetera, very easily. This is the difference between people who actually want to be good at the game and play in order to improve their skills and people who don't really care about learning to play the game and prefer to simply go to the forums and whine that certain things are overpowered so that they don't have to actually admit that maybe they aren't this game's Jesus.

EDIT: In case anyone is wondering, I just earned my bot icon because a) I don't play Blitz, like, ever and b) I don't have much time to play during the week.

That's because you've been both posting on the forums and playing with skilled players. I think Tom is mostly referring to people who don't have the advantage of learning directly from more experienced players.

Like you, I was fortunate enough to get pulled into the community early on. But to figure it out by yourself it probably would take at least to a high level buzzer to really get a good grasp of the basic metagame.

You are not going to convince this guy that juice isn't as OP as he believes.

I'd just like to take a moment to apologize for my hostility. This game has a tendency to frustrate, and a "it's fine L2P" response compounds that. I want to like this game, but some days it's like beating your head against a brick wall. Particularly when your team is playing with an "every man for himself" attitude ... which is often.

I appreciate the latter posts describing potential strategies. I'm not sure I agree with everything being said yet, but they are points to consider. I will spend some time exploring them.

Dude I understand the frustration. Even when you get good at the game, it is still one of the more rage inducing games out there...just the nature of the game.

Not sure if this has been suggested but, how about if you BUY juice you get $1000 off of your earnings, so if you had $761 on hand and you buy juice, so you have $261 left, but your earning (e.g. you had $2000 in total for that game at the time) goes down by 1000, you spend 500 on juice and 1000 get taken off from your earnings.
Hope this makes sense :shock:

I think a better solution is just to find games I actually like playing. I have determined that MNC is simply not fun for me. Perpetually joining games where you constantly get backed in to your spawn isn't a very good time.

I don't agree with Uber's design choices, thought I will respect that you do. Instead, I'll probably just vote with my wallet and not buy any more releases by them.

A juiceless match OPTION would be nice. As it is, ur not going to get a juiceless match. Yes, it's frustrating when the only time u see the enemy team is when they are juiced, but if they are so awful, how did they get juice? Musta been doing something right.

I don't know why you would ever buy a longshot turret. If I have a couple of 3.3 rockets in the enemy base to destroy and $500, im buying gapshot til the money stops coming in.

It has already been commented on why juice should remain in the game, so I am not going to even bother to talk about that, but I do want to talk about some balances that need to be considered.

1. I think that the juice timers should be set to a minute and a half so that a person can only chain twice. This would make games more evenly matched because the team that is being backed into their spawn has a 30 second period with no enemies being able to buy juice. This gives them a chance to push back and buy juice to control the juice machines.

2. I think that the support and tank should have their juice gain rate buffed. They juice so slowly. I think that the gunner and assault are about right as far as juice gain goes. The gunner might need a slight buff, but that isn't really necessary IMO because the minis are amazing without juice. The sniper and assassin need some changes. The assassin's katana rate should be nerfed a bit. If you do it right, you can take down three waves of bots and get 1 hit in on an enemy turret and get juice. The sniper needs a juice buff until passive 3 is bought, then the juice gain should be nerfed. By shooting a turret with a pro and a group of bots next to it, a sniper can gain juice almost instantly, which is extremely unfair.

Only for healing people, not sitting in their base and healing their 3.3 firebase and RockIt. Would only encourage hiding in one's base.
