Most consistent players?

I like sniper yes, but I play all classes and 90% of the time I take MVP ... You've played with me enough to know this.

I don't think I'm good, I know I'm good, and that comes with time and practice. As far as a team carrying me, you got it slightly right. All classes can fend for themselves if you're good, but the sniper and support are 2 classes that rely on their team the most. So yes, as sniper and support I rely on my team to carry me further. As far as quitting, I never have and never will, I'm a Gamer .. not a player.

As far as the most consistent players, hard to say ... I haven't found any that are well rounded, everyone seems to be a one class wonder in this game.

I've played with him plenty of times. He has bans on his VAC status record. Zero game sense but laser accurate sniping. Usually gets rolled unless he's on sniper. Also, he thinks he's a gamer badass if you couldn't tell. Oh, and extremely skilled in thread necromancy.

Yes, I do have A ban on my record from a false positive. I major in IT Security and code my own HEX level debug programs, this program interfered with some packets that were being transferred over my network around the time that they banned me. I had a lengthy support ticket between Steam and I to try and resolve the issue but they weren't hearing it.

Code/Packet security programs such as VAC are NOT 100% and NEVER will be, especially for something as minor as a game. If that were the case then our antivirus programs would be 100% ... but they're not. If I were trying to hide something like cheating then I would have created another account, but I'm not trying to hide anything. Take it how you must, but I would expect Gamers like you (Sunny) and others like Knovocaine to be a little more aware of the difference between a cheater and a good player.

Both of you guys are good players, it's just unfortunate the source and cause of the bane attitudes between us.

A friend of my got onces in a hacked lobby on MW2. It wasn't his intention he just got there. VAC thought he was hacking. Now he can't play it anymore.

What i've said is a fact and not confirming nor denying that Digi is a cheater.

Digi always called me a noob when I sniped agianst him because I body shot him sometimes.

another excuse, if you get into a hacked lobby you leave, then report it along with date time etc and you wouldnt have got ban, i know this cos i did same. Most people though get into a hacked lobby then be like wowowowow free xp and rank up, that is cheating

I have also seen his ability to snipe in even the most difficult of circumstances. While I would say he cheats, he also does miss, though its very uncommon. I play sniper a lot, and I miss about half my shots. Digi seems to miss about 5%. I can see why people may be claiming he cheats, it is just that there is not enough evidence to support.

I have also seen him get rolled unless he plays sniper as well. I believe that Digi also states that he gets MVP on 90% of his games. That's absolute hogwash, as Hagrid would put it.

No personal hate to Digi, just very difficult to believe all those shots are legit.

When did people start doing this? I'm only just seeing the distinction between Gamers and Players. I'm just wondering how long the terminology has been used this way. I've not seen any other elitists use the term Player derogatorily till now.

Indeed. Making the terms distinctly opposite is what really hurts the gaming community.

I know that there is some underhanded stuff going on in the game industry and that designers are quite frankly sucked dry of creativity but labeling others as less "elite" is not going to help.

It's hardly an opposite, both play games, one just takes it more seriously then the other. Of course there are going to be labels that grow throughout the gaming community because it has become so large now. Games can be played on computers, consoles, and mobile devices and is only gonna get bigger. Of course no one has heard of Gamers vs Players because my buddy and I are the first ones to make the distinction that we know of (not saying that we were the first, I can care less), and yes, more will be labeled as the gaming community grows ... by who, who knows. We have Whites, Blacks, Hispanic, Asian and the list goes on, the point is that they all have stereotypes and cultures interwoven between them, it's what makes the human race unique and dynamic. It is no different in this scenario.
