I was bowsing my shelf the other day I picked up a few books I hadn't touched in a while. ---- Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Eldest and Brisingr. (from the Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini; Eragon) Wizard's First Rule. (currently still reading, the book that the show, "Legend of the Seeker" is based on.) Most of the Maximum Ride books. Dragon Rider and The Thief Lord by Cornelia Funke. The Bartimaeus Trilogy. ---- What books do you like to read? That is, if you still do read those old stacks of paper called books. I clearly enjoy spending time reading many a fantasy novel, though I have come to love some, more, intellectual reads. ---- Zorba the Greek - Nikos Kazantzakis. Miramar - Naguib Mahfouz. A Thousand Splendid Suns - Khaled Hosseini. (also wrote The Kite Runner.)
Some of my personal favorites are Atlas Shrugged-Ayn Rand Interview with a vampire-Ann Rice End War-Tom Clancy Halo:Fall of Reach-Eric Nylund (before the game reach ruined the story for me) Anthem-Ayn Rand(any rush fan should read this. It makes 2112 overture make so much more sense) Ramses the Damned-Ann Rice The Girl Next Door-Jack Ketchum(Warning-Explicit Content not for easily disturbed readers) Anything Artemis Fowl-Eion(sp?) Colfer Those are just some of my favorites. Mainly the ones I can pick up and read again and again and still love them.
I loved the bartimaeus trilogy i still read them time to time, and apparently they're coming out with a movie for the first one. The first artemis fowl book was solid, didn't care for the later ones. Maxim ride was meh for me to how did that one end by the way? There was a series called Rangers Apprentice that i thought was good, though i haven't read any of them in a long time. Also Dean Koontz I love his books, The good guy, Odd thomas, and The husband are my favorite from him. Gordon Korman also had a few books that i enjoyed, Son of the mob and.. i think it was no more dead dogs a bit short and most likely kiddish by now but i still enjoyed them.
I like the Alex Rider books- I have Stormbreaker, Point Blanc, Skeleton Key, Eagle Strike, Scorpia, Ark Angel, Snakehead, Crocodile Tears and Scorpia Rising
I have ADD as well, but I think my mind works by graphically interpreting everything I read, so it's easier to concentrate. I know, as I looked though them I kept thinking: "God I love these books." That was Half-Blood Prince. As in, Dante Alighieri? If so, much respect. Despite it being probably the most known, The Inferno is still my favorite. The game Dante's Inferno was pretty cool as well.
Books : My Humorous World My Humorous Japan Comic Books : Naruto Naruto Shippuden School Rumble School Rumble Z "Zero No Tsukaima" is really good. It may sound nerdish but who cares?
Indeed. Meh, took the amazing setup and somewhat destroyed it. This makes me sad. There are so many good mangas out there and you picked these (granted Zero No Tsukaima was not horrible but rather boring).
I love Naruto. I read weekly shonen JUMP just for Naruto and it's getting better and better. IMO, Naruto's peak was when he was fighting Sasuke where he lost.
This is the only Heart of Darkness I know. I've not read any other books in my life except for Divine Comedy. I absolutely hate the material they are printed on and refuse to touch it.
I hate the material books are printed on. High gloss paper that magazines use is okay, it's just that specific kind that I hate.
