One of the best things in Minecraft are mods and texture packs and you can't have those on the Xbox. What about multiplayer? There will be no Bukkit for the Xbox, I even doubt there will be multiplayer at all. Or you get a host-client system that will lag like hell.

The only thing that could make me play Minecraft on the Xbox is when Uber makes it and gets free reign over the content. I don't think Scathis would need 3 month to think up half a dozen new blocks and Eka could probably make the textures for the whole game in 256x256 in a day or two.

About the whole it won't get updates thing, MS caters to big titles, i'm pretty sure they're going to work with minecraft and it's 100mb DLC's as much as possible, that's why if uber put out an update (especially now when there's no huge updates on the horizon) it'd get out there pretty quick
