So there hasn't been much interest in MNC tournaments elsewhere on bigger sites, but I'm interested to see how many people would play in a tournament elsewhere if there was one. We at GameNation have got the scripts and staff to run one and do it right (http://gamenationpro.com), but we won't do it if there isn't enough serious interest in it. We would shoot for this weekend, but no promises, maybe next weekend, just depends on the interest. We were thinking 16 teams, not real sure about whether to go 4v4, 5v5, or stick to the 6v6 format. Prizes would depend. This is more of an interest based thing so we wouldn't just go throw money at it yet, but perhaps something small, or something bigger with registration fees. We're open to anything. We have brackets, forums, registration - the works. Plus, if you don't already know about GN, it's run by former MLG staff members plus experience working/competing in all the major gaming leagues around the world, so don't worry, this isn't just some team site, or some kid trying to run a tournament to gain exposure, we just want to try and do something for this game where there is nothing currently. I'm not trying to push our site (we are a news site, not a ladder/league), but rather we are just gathering interest in a MNC tournament since all of our staff loves the game as much as everyone else does, and we want to have some sort of competition for it. Thoughts?
Well given the fact that people are already begging GB to put the game up on the site, and that the first tournament that uber actually held went so well, im sure its safe to say there would be plenty of people wanting to play. Maybe give it a bit more time for teams to develop, but other than that i dont see why this isnt a great idea.
I posted this on GB as well, since they are kinda lacking. We all want to play on GB, but figured since they are slacking on it, we would jump in and help out.
