Minimising MNC / listening to music in the background

Minimising mnc causes it to get stuck
MNC lowers the volume of any other program in the background, so listening to music is tricky
anyone knows a solution to these problems ?

Regarding number 2, to fix it without reopening the music player (every new round), click volume control and you will notice the music application slider is near the bottom, increase this to match the rest of them and it will be fine, however it will lower it everytime.
I've found this is quite random, last few days it hasn't done it but it will appear randomly.

It might be your mic options in the windows sound options.

Go to Control Panel -> Sound, then to the Communications tab, and make sure that the radio button is set to 'Do Nothing'.

I had a similar problem, and that fixed it.
