The Support actually cries. So what if we actually get something for the bots as well? Just whip out Microsoft Sam, and make the bots say 'Ow', or something equivalent that describes excruciating pain for a robotic device. I just thought giving the bots a bit more personality would make them more fun to escort/destroy. Otherwise, they're really just metallic, semi-intelligent cannon fodder that can only go bleep bleep bloop. They're not exactly emotionless because you can clearly tell by how they leap on the moneyball that they're VERY happy to finally get their paws on the thing - but, they do it ever so silently. Not that I expect this sort of idea to be ever be implemented, but one can hope.
Squads of Slimbots should be singing 'It's a Small Small World' as they waddle about their routes. Makes you really know they're there. Blackjacks can be the sopranos of the choir so they don't feel left out. I guess that makes Jackbot the fat lady. :|
Want You Gone is a beautiful song that I can listen to over and over. The reason I didn't post it instead was because it contained some spoilers for the game.
One of the main things I like about Portal is the adorable turrets. Make the bots say funny things, like "Ow..." when you melee them.
Hmm, what should the Jackbot say? "Get out of my face you god D** piece of S** mother F** Assassin!!!" :lol:
I would imagine more of a slow, passive, downtrodden voice. Kinda like Eeyore. When headcrabbed: "Ohhhh noooo." When missing a slam: "Soooo cloooose" When ringing out a pro: "Better luck next time" When grappled: "Please get off me. No? Awwwwe " 'Twould be awesome.
Awesome idea, if it got implemented it would make the game 80% better Man, i would love hearing the Gap-shots say "Boom", "kabum", "Bam" everytime they shoot. But what would the Bouncers say?
