I've had the misfortune of playing with some people, who are really bad sportsmen when losing a game and tend to quit just after they lose a match. By bad luck these tend to also be the host and I lose my connection. When the game migrates to a new host (IF it is able to migrate) then I lose all the highlights I earned during that match and sometimes my cash. I know it isn't possible to prevent players from quitting the game when they lose (Because they can just reset the console, and that's out of your control) but can you implement something that saves what highlights and cash I've earned before the results screen is displayed to stop this from happening? I really enjoy this game, but I am getting tired of my efforts coming to naught because some guy is unhappy that he lost.
I wholeheartedly agree with you. But I'm not sure one could fix this problem. Maybe with dedicated servers, but that's just me talking.
Your tags and stats could be saved console-side periodically for the end of round. Might be an attack vector for modders, but would make things nicer for the rest of us.
For what it's worth, I don't see near as many RQers in this game as in others. The fact that you get money for tags and custom classes regardless of whether you win or lose makes it worth it to stay in anyway. But really, how do you STOP ragequitting?
Argh, just now I was doing very well in a game. Had around 20 kills and only 1 death when I used the Annihilator and saw the other team's sniper die in front of me because of it. Now I'm assuming that guy was the host, cause the next thing I know we're trying to migrate hosts (which obviously fails), making me lose my earnings. On the other hand... it means I will just have to play a bit longer now.
