I tried looking in the search for this topic, but with the many variations one could spell Heal Hurt Gun I might have missed it.

Irregardless, the point of this Topic is that the heal-hurt gun needs to have the beam reworked. The beam can be a bit unpredictable at times.

Example: I am healing my turret/firebase/bot. I am done overhealing it. I put my reticle on my team mate who is next to the turret/firebase/bot and instead of healing at what it is aimed at, it will heal the closest thing or the last thing I was healing if it is also nearby. :x

Has anybody else played Support long enough to notice this annoyance? :(

yes, i noticed this. The beam should target w/e you are targeting, and if it is a large group of people/bots, it should target the Pros first, with the lowest HP, then the bots.

Not sure if it should prioritize other team members first. This might create the reverse conflict. You want to keep your firebase alive, but since an injured team mate is right next to you, your beam goes to him and your base is destroyed.

I'd just be happy if the darned thing healed at what I was aiming. ;)

I've also had this issue. It's frustrating when your firebase is about to die, and your unintentionally overhealing a bot.

Yep. Beam priorities are weird. Might be hard to fix though..?

Best thing I can equate it to is the medic in TF2, you heal what you point at, and as long as you hold the button down and are within range, it heals. As soon as you let go and hit it again, it heals whatever you're pointing at. I would much prefer that method of selection, as that's what I'm doing! Sometimes I find myself running around trying to get away from other things to heal the thing I want!

Yes, and they also need to fix the beams. You can heal through walls and such for a while.

Yeah it need to be abit more accurate, right now it seems to prefer proximity over what you are pointing at. I had a few people die, and even missed a few kills like that.

It seems to love Slims more than anything else. At least that is my experience. So many times I try to heal other stuff and it targets slims.

i wish it didn't auto target at all. just shoots a beam like the jet gun. having a support stick their back in a corner and heal nearly around a corner is lame.

Also, I just noticed yesterday, not sure if it was just lag or something. But at times when I tried to heal something, the blue healing beam would come out, but the target would not be getting healed. I then had to shoot the beam again and then it would actually start healing. Not sure if this might be a glitch or just lag from the host. Anyone else that can corroborate this?
