Just sayin'. The assassin is supposed to represent stealth and sabotage, someone that can dispose of bots and turrets extremely easily (if done right). Yet, close to every single game I play, there's an assassin either on my or the enemy team who does poorly. I can't help but laugh at what people had turned the class into.

Only the ones that do their job. If you run past a large group of bots to try to kill a tank, I hate you.

EDIT: Also, I don't care if they go 3-20. As long as they do what they're supposed to do, they should still be at the top of the leaderboard.

Sadly, that's what most 'sins do, which is why I lose my respect for 'em. They'd rather go for kills then the objective.

The issue isn't the class that they're playing.

The problem is the players that's playing the class.

    Amen.

    This. This. THIIIIIIIIIISSSS.

But like XENONOX said (and I do think most things he says is pretty damn good, though I am not what you would call a fanboy), I hate a tank that walks past bots to get at a gunner with his jetgun, I hate a support that never heals anything but his firebase, and I hate a sniper that never...

Well, actually, it is more ambiguous with snipers. I hate the kind of sniper that, you know, turtles. Not just that, I mean sitting literally on moneyball ring and just shooting at enemies outside his base. No bot focus, no map control, no zoning and area of denial, no team support, nothing.

Or, the kind of sniper that plays too mechanically (farms juice on bots, juice pillages, wash rinse and repeat). Doesn't help their team too much, just pads k/d. Really makes me try-hard focus on them.

If they do their job, sure. If they don't, I try to understand that everyone starts somewhere.

Sadly, this is true thanks to new people starting out as sins and not really knowing what they're doing.

I like killing bots and turrets as an assassin and not getting killed by tanks. Living is nice.

I always enjoy watching an assassin grapple a black jack, that always makes me cry from laughter. The only bot in my mind worth grappling is the bouncer because you cannot let it get into close range if you want to live.

YarharFiddleDD is a pretty good assassin. dadale and artic are pretty good too. I need to work on my assassin skills. I have been playing way too much support and gunner lately.

At least 75% of the time I laugh at an assassin grappling anything.

Bouncers depend. Most of the time they are worth a grapple. However, if you are in the clear, let one get close to you and smoke bomb. Then slash it away...it gives you a lot of juice.

Really, you don't even have to grapple. If you just circle around him he will only hit you once or twice.

It's very helpful to your entire team to burn a grapple on one real fast and quickly jump back to the bot lanes. You are usually the first thing he chases after, and if there's anybody that can visibly see you slashing it, you're going to at the very least get pushed back. If you have to flee, the bouncer either threatens your life as you're fleeing, prevents you from fleeing, or runs past you and attacks somebody else, wasting all the time you spent on it in the first place.

I only really slash at a bouncer if it's way behind my bot lines and there's no enemy pros pushing in on me.

Yeah but what do you expect? They are just starting out and I can see how someone who's never payed this game would try the assassin first because she's awesome and who doesn't like ninjas. But anyway, my point is everyone has to start somewhere. If some noob plays the game for the first time today and picks sin, and then plays nothing but sin to like lvl 80 or something, he'd probably end up being pretty good eventually.
