    This map needs some work.

There should not be a jump pad between ejectors.

The spawn needs to not be so advantageous for defense when pushed into their base.

Bot purchasing doesn't seem like the best idea. The purchased bots should have double the health or some other perk to them so they aren't just additional money to the other team (excluding bouncers).

Spam rules this map like no other. 2-3 Assaults/Gunners (and to a lesser extent tank product grenades) controlling your top tunnel means you aren't doing anything until you can muster enough counter spam to remove them.

Overall it is a great map. One thing to note is that supports can put their firebase on the middle level of the castle spires and it is impossible to airstrike it. It is very difficult to get someone from their spot. As a support I love this, but looking from another class' perspective I can see how it can be really annoying.

I think that the bot spawners are just about right, The only thing I'd change is that the Slim Bot spawner needs to spawn A LOT more slim bots, or only cost 25$ (3slim bots for $50 is about the same as just giving money to the enemy team. 2 Black Jacks for 50$ is about right though.)

The tunnel could use an additional entrance on one of the sides or the roof. Also widening it a little would be nice (can be tough to get around JackBots sometimes.)

I think that the jump pads in the center of the map should bounce in a clockwise circle rather than a cross. (this would help with the ejector abuse)

I believe he's talking about paying to spawn blackjacks, and especially slims

Haven't seen it yet, but not sure how effective it would be
I know quite a few players have trained their ears to listen for the Assassin hum(even at lvl3) and the Gremlins aren't very difficult to spot as they chitter while running around

Oh, I am sorry, I am supposed to wait for some sharp PC gamer to figure this out for himself, post it here, and then link the xbox thread that first talked about it months ago to it.

It is much more fun that way. Sorry for ruining the punchline. There will be other opportunities, like when someone finds out that they can peek around the corner as a gunner in 3rd person invisibly, and when someone comes around the corner you can lightly jump and slam them just as they turn the corner for an instant reliable pancake. You can even do this to enemies leaving a spawndoor.

Opps, that is 2 spoilers I gave away in one day

Your whole paragraph was irrelevant to the purchasing of Blackjacks and Slimbots.

I saw some Assault gameplay and that map looks fun as sh*t. So many places you can bombjump or charge-glide to, so epic. I am so getting the PC version on my crappy PC, I NEED TO PLAY THAT MAP!

Funland is really skewed to certain classes. The classes with the hardest time are Snipers, and Assassins. While Supports are given huge rewards for very simple play styles.

The problem for snipers is easy: There's few places with direct LOS not blocked by your own bots, and the when there is LOS, it's usually in a very open position where traps are near worthless. There's only one or two spots where there's a clean shot to an opposing bot lane.

All the 'sniper' spots are next to jump pads, and are easily accessible to every class. Meaning you can't really find a spot to setup camp unless it's in your base. Which doesn't have a clear shot of anything.

Oddly the best place to snipe is the Chickey Cantor ring, but it's also very open. You can trap the jump pad sure, but assaults/assassins/tanks can bypass them really easily. And once they do, you're pretty much trapped and screwed.

    ---

Assassins aren't very good in this map because of the chicken effect, the high mobility for all classes, and how protected the bot lanes are.

The chicken effect isn't nearly as good for assassins as other classes as well. You should already have speed from pickups, you should already have gold armor in your setup (unless you're running some sort of gimmick build), and reload/clip/crit/accuracy does nothing major for the sin. Health recovery is only useful if you don't die right off the bat, and even if you don't, recovering health isn't a big issue since you can stealth and hide. Skill regen is nice, but only affects cloaking and smoke. Smoke already regens very fast. Faster cloak is nice. The biggest advantage is you get gold rate of fire, or gold armor (if you're the type of sin that runs silver armor). While nice, its no where near as how brutal some other classes become. Such as the Gunner becomes when he gets gold clip, reload, rate of fire, speed, armor, critical, and accuracy. The gunner is the most POWERFUL class when he gets the bacon affect, because almost EVERY endorsement benefits him majorly in the gold slot (excluding juice).

Other classes having such high mobility is a big problem for the assassin. The less time people spend on the ground, the harder and harder it becomes for the assassin to actually kill anyone. It's impossible to kill anyone on the trampoline as a sin, and that's REALLY bad if it's a support healing a firebase using that little trick.

The bot lanes. They're probably the most guarded of any map I've seen. The tunnel is a death trap for sins. The spawns are covered by rockets, and are right next to player spawns. It's almost as hard as killing bots as a sniper on this map. The only safe way to kill them is to use the shuriken launcher. It's even MORE hellish trying to kill an XL, because of how confined everything is.

The one good thing about this map is its very easy to backstab kill all of the turrets in the base, due to the fact that one of the backdoor entrances are not as guarded due to a lack of a bot lane going through it. I find that the asssassins niche in this map is to keep the turrets down as much as possible, and forgo bot killing mostly and leave it to the tanks, who can actually push a lane and survive the explosion spam.

That being said, there's certain classes which are WAY too good on this map. The number one is support.

Supports are retarded good on funland. They need to disable building firebases in the middle, because as it stands, the only easy way to kill a firebase on there is to call an airstrike. The support cant easily be headshot, can't be grabbed at all, is very hard to nail down with a railgun or jetgun. This while he can constantly heal his level 3 hacked firebase as it murders people. It's also in a position where it's hard to get the split mortar to hit it correctly. Fixing that would go a long way in making the map enjoyable. It's not skillful. It's not risky. And it gives WAY too much reward for how easy it is to do. Every other class is pretty good. The chicken effect is a little overpowered for gunners and assaults, but I think I can live with that if you just make the firebase issues go away.

^ I totally see what you mean here. A support can domiate if no one stops them and honestly playing assassin is not much fun when everyone can protect their bots and their backs easily. Still wont stop me from doing what I need to do.

Th chicken effect can be troublesome. You always have to have someone keeping an eye out but at the same time with the compactness of the map you cant afford to stop breaking bots.

I still have fun especially when I play assault or assassin despite difficulty with the latter. I suppose its the fun air of the map.

I wish all the maps had more quirky gimmicks though I do appreciate that not all of them do. Because they don't that makes them useable in competitive play.

I would say assaults benefit more than gunners from the bacon/egg buff, but gunners are a close second.

It's a strange map for snipers. It makes it very hard for them to do the usual thing, standing in one spot surrounded by ice traps, shutting down 50% of the map. However, the abundance of jump pads in the towers makes this map a paradise for snipers who stay mobile and thrive on leading people to ice traps.

I haven't actually tried assassin on the map yet, but I can definitely see what you're talking about. On a similar note, the same sort of thing that would make it tough for assassins also makes the gunner's slow health regen an even bigger problem than usual. Normally a gunner can back off and hide on the friendly side of an obstacle to wait for his regen. But on this map there's much less sense of friendly/enemy sides once you get into the middle, so it's much harder to get a chance to regen. Damage just flies around everywhere.
