So, you know, people who suck at drawing but are good at writing have something relevant to post here. MNC universe and story has tons of potential but the only thing to write about is gameplay and the hints of lore from Mickey Cantor.

That's a great idea, only two pro's have interviews in their bios. Assassin and Sniper. An expansive interview with the other characters would be cool way to start.

I'm curious if there are any aliens in the MNC timeline. If they have cyborgs, why not ETs?

The way I looked at the whole "Pros being clones" thing is that the company behind the actual MNC league has a huge cryogenic lab under each arena where all the clones are stored. They are thawed out when a pro of the same class dies, and is sent to replace them. It's the human equivalent to dog fighting IMO. I think a really cool piece would be like in The Island where they realize they are clones, and try to escape the arena.

There are a few theories I have over the clones, both of which I want to lay out and let you guys give input.

The clones are not a mass cookie cutter line but high quality, dna enhanced clones that go in the field again and again. When a clone dies, they are sent to a regeneration chamber for recovery before they are sent into the game.
The clones are a mass production line but retain the same personality or soul. For example an assault dies but the next assault will be uploaded all the memories and ideas of the last assault till the second of its death. This could explain a lot of things as the personalities would be the same because it is the same clone, only in a new body. Think of it much like cloning from the Movie the Sixth Day. This could also explain how good ol' Mickey Canter is still alive despite having two successful assassinations out of six.

On to other matters, I think we have a good idea on what exactly the MNC world is like. Blood Sport universes have a pattern of a few things, and by the bits and pieces we have of MNC we can say for sure that:
    1. The world has gone through a massive war, with the possibility of nuclear warfare. I feel this is spot on since Mickey said " I have not seen this many kills since a mutant land squid in a radiated dust storm." If that is not the cause of nuke war, I don't know what is.
    2. The government(s) is unified by means of corporations. I got a good sense that MNC is controlled by major corporations. I also believe that gap between the rich and poor are vast since people with lower tickets are randomly selected for "population control" and donating organs. Poverty seems to be a huge issue in these cities and I am guessing they are much like the cities in the Judge Dread universe.
    3. Real food is scarce. I mean take a look anytime they mention food like bacon or cheese. They freak out like it's prime time steak. The people are also fed food tubes which indicate that much of way to feed to public is by processed food of a low grade.
    4. There are areas that the government do not control. This is mentioned several times that there are people called Outlanders. Who are they? Most likely people who oppose the current regime of the government and live on the brink of society where no one can control them. I imagine it much like a Mad Max universe type of deal with make shift cars and buildings and fighting off mutant creatures and warring tribes.

I kind of always saw it as them being semi-unique clones/genetic mashups. Since they seem to have lives outside the game, have likes and dislikes, and are interviewed and such. I imagine that it's actually difficult to make copies of the clones, and there are all kinds of grotesque failed attempts sitting in huge tanks of nondescript liquids, heh.

When their vital signs reach a certain point they are trans-located back to the respawn room and revived during the respawn timer. Figured that's why the clones bodies kind of fizz away after they die and ragdoll.

However the mass produced and replaceable copies would jive with the excessive and wasteful society that MNC seems to take place in. Both are good ideas really.

The outlanders probably live in the areas that were devastated by the nuclear war you mentioned. Areas that would be too costly for the corporate government to control. Or areas that hold no financial interests, with depleted resources.

    Very nice post :D
