So I recently did a system restore on my computer because I thought something was acting up and now every time I try to open something (such as FireFox or a video) I get this ****:

Help? I have no idea what the **** is going on. There is an internet button on my keyboard that I usually use for opening FireFox and it doesn't do anything now.

basically you need to reinstall windows media player since it can't find the right program to run it.

This happens when you delete something rather then uninstalling it as its looking for the program to run it.

Ie: gifs/jpgs would be associated with an image program
wav/mp3s would be associated with winamp or a media player
mpeg/avi would be media player etc..
doc/txt would be microsoft word etc notepad

just download and reinstall what you need to play those things...
the picture you posted was windows media player so download it from microsoft.com
    should fix it

In regards to the keyboard internet button, does your keyboard have a config program or something? May need to change that. Or make sure firefox is your default thingamabob.

It worked! Thank you so much. :D
I have no idea what the hell caused this.

I have Pinnacle Studio 12 for recording and Vegas for editing. I don't really do a lot of editing but Vegas has some great things for people who just want simple stuff.

Welcome, it's usually a virus. I'm guessing that's why you did a system restore though.
