There's nothing wrong with stating which one you prefer.
I prefer using my Xbox 360 controller.

The problem is when M+KB elitists put down controller people just to put them down.

Yes, M+KB are more accurate then controller. But using my controller is my choice. It's what I'm most comfortable and capable with.

I wasn't aware of this KB + M VS Controller war, though I'm glad people participated in the poll.

Personally, I grew up on console gaming and prefer the controller. That may be why I hover around the 2 to 3 Star range. I get to 4 occasionally but when I play against Top Scoreboard players who play in select teams, my star rating quickly plummets.

Turning on +mlook in the Quake 1 demo was a revelation

I really don't understand how someone could choose not to use the mouse

When you can get along without it. For instance, as assassin, certain maps with certain tank builds, assaults. And when you are REALLY good with thumbsticks, sniper and gunner isnt at a hard disadvantage either.

I seen a mw2 quickscoper beat 2 other snipers at long range on controller. This is about as accurate as i ever seen anyone on m+kb. Difference in accuracy and speed is neglegible at times.

There isn't ONE situation where you wouldn't benefit from a Mouse and Keyboard.

Use whatever your comfortable with. If you mainly play with a controller for fps, just stick with it.

If you want to be the best version of yourself, switch to mouse. A player who spends the same amount of time playing with the mouse and controller will see better results with his mouse counterpart. Chances are, it really won't take long to become proficient as a mouse user seeing as you use your mouse everyday.

Now that I think about it....it must be very awkward to jump and aim with a controller. Maybe there's different configuration where you can make jump a shoulder button or something. How often are you forced to take your thumbs off the movement or look analog sticks? I don't play so I could be totally wrong here, but don't you have to take your thumb off movement when buying (not a big deal), and take your thumb off "look" when you use skills/jump/jetpack?

Any videos of a VERY GOOD xbox snipers? I'd like a real point of comparison. I youtubed a couple and was not impressed at all after watching Snugs, Nonis, and Zutsumi.

For the PC version, I'd like to see the removal of aim assist. Giving an aim helper is pretty cheesy even if the control scheme is less efficient. In order to dodge correctly you need to know the type of controller the other person uses which is quite annoying.

With aim assist very small and quick back and forth dodges aren't very useful, but against a mouse user it works quite well. I don't have any idea what would work against that aim style. Fortunately, they are rare and overall significantly worse players for now. I would still prefer to see it removed however.

I looked at a number of sniper montages and this is probably the only decent one I could find. Most were worse than this not just in terms of skill, but editing quality.

Some good shots but nothing really "wow" factor. Most look slow compared to some of the stuff you see on the PC

No, no, and no. Unless I am the only person with a jointed thumb, you don't NEED to take any fingers off any buttons while still moving both thumbsticks.

And there are a few games where SIGMAR played on youtube. It doesn't show just his screen, but he does great in-game. Comparing it to a m+kb player isnt possible since SIGMAR doesnt do steam, so

I understand you can be good, reguardless. I just don't like how some people discredit it, like their true purpose is to look like they are inherently that much better for using it (although they are nothing special). If you have no thumb joint, or very tiny thumbs (smaller than 2in), then maybe a keyboard would be better because yout thumb joint wont reach the buttons and the sticks.

I'd love to see how you press the Y button without bending your hand into some sort of horrible claw.
