Teams of 2+ assassins

Why?? WHY GOD WHY??

I fought a team of 5 assassins yesterday. Needless to say, they didn't last long.

Umm yeah, this question is for the Guru of Monday Night Combat.

Why not?

I usually wait to see what everyone else picks. If there is already support, I go assassin, If there is already assassins, I go support. Also, if the opposing team as 2+ assassins, I go tank!

I think it's pretty funny so when i see 4 assassin on my team i useally join them

It can work in pub games. I just won 7 or so pub games in a row with my cousin and I both playing sins

An Assassin on each lane can work but only with good crowd control from the rest of
the team. But usually 1 good Assassin is enough. So many noobs, so many Assassins :?

I played a private once where this worked. I was an assassin on my team, and the other team had two assassins on Grenade III. They would chain grapple me, followed by hard bot pushing.

Then again, my team was on their spawn ring, spawn killing the rest of their team, so that probably the main reason why that worked.

I mold to what everyone else picks in pubs. How else would you learn how to play everything?

Well you never need to pick a sniper in pubs, nor assassin. Tank or gunner (Depending on your preference) support and an assault are the only classes you really need to learn how to play

3 assassins on a team = fail
all it takes is 1 tank to rip through them all

Well I have beaten a team with 2 tanks while I was on a team with 3 Assassins. In fact, one time I joined a lobby to find that there was already 2 Assassins on my team and they were terrible so I switched to Assassin and dropped the enemy Moneyball in less than 2 minutes. I have also beaten a team with 3 Tanks while I was the only Assassin.

My point is, sometimes your Assassins aren't doing their job and it might be wise to switch to Assassin. I use bad Assassins as distractions for the enemy team to farm kills from. The enemy Pros will be having so much fun killing them that they ignore the objective and I am free to do what I please.

Silly feedle, you're assuming the rest of your team is competent. Then again, constantly getting carried by your teammates will make you think that way, so i can see where you're coming from.

If bots are at your turrets and you have 2 bad Assassins, sometimes it's a good idea to switch to Assassin. While they are busy face grappling Tanks, you are free to kill bots and push the enemy back.
