I do Though I tend to mostly get replies in text and such. But sometimes people put their microphone and voice to work, just 'cause I took the initiative to ramble, co-ordinate and chat over VOIP. I encourage more people to do it!
I'd prefer more love if possible. I use a usb headset for voip only, with game sounds still coming out of my speakers. I tend to not use in-game chat if I can't split it from the in-game sounds to my headset. Sadly I think this is more of a Steam problem, which sucks.
I can almost never hear anyone using voip. Assuming I can tell they are using it at all. I know it's a windows 7 bug, but I haven't gotten around to fixing it.
I wont use VOIP with random pubs. I would like to be able to turn it off from in game though so I dont have to listen to some arsehat calling everyone racial slurs.
DO you honestly get that often though? I rarely hear anyone talk ever. I will call out stuff and i can see people acting on what i say but i never get replies ever. Occasionally i hear someone hitting the wrong key and then hear them talking to a spouse or something but never any actual use of it, like swearing or using it properly.
i want to but i am a noob at getting my mic to work , i use my 360 headset through my controller and when i test it in the steam menus it seems to work(i can hear the feedback) but when i get in MNC my mic wont transmit my voice.
