On Steam, I saw that the system requirements are Graphics: DirectX 9.0c/Shader3.0 compatible, VRAM 512 MB (NVIDIA GeForce 7800 series or ATI Radeon X1900) I have met the other requirements but when I play Monday Night Combat, I lag. The screen goes all blurry and I can barely make it out in Single Player. I do want to play Multiplayer but I do not know if my graphic card is in the requirements. While researching I came up with this as my graphics card: Generic PnP Monitor (1600x900@60Hz) Intel(R) Graphics Media Accelerator HD If this does not fall in the category of requirements, are there any suggestions to fix it? I am open to buying new graphics card but it depends on prices. If it does fall in the requirements are there any suggestions that can help end the laggy frames?
If you cannot even play blitz, I do not recommend going into crossfire. You can get a pretty good graphics card for less than 100$ if you desire. Are you playing on a PC or laptop? EDIT: Actually I googled your card and it seems like you are playing on a laptop. Pretty sure you can't upgrade one of those.
Video Cards are a difficult thing to gauge with out a lot of technical knowledge and research. The Intel GMA HD can run the game, but not at the level of our min spec cards. If you mess around with the graphics config files enough you can get the game to run at acceptable speeds, but at a quality level we didn't feel was acceptable for proper playability.
The Intel HD (Arrendale cpu with gpu in package) really only shines in HD videos and some light 3D games. Compared to my entry level GPU, which earned 21,000 in 3D Mark 2001, the Intel HD only scored 4500. (switchable graphics on my laptop) With my own GPU (ATI/AMD Radeon 6370M) runs the game at acceptable framerate at mostly minimal settings and high (almost maxed) textures.
Thank you for the replies. I can actually run Blitz but in order to do so, I have to close the 100-something processes first. The lag although won't be any better through 4 games. The best I've come through is a few frames that look like they move. Can anyone confirm if I can replace my graphics card or not on this laptop? EDIT: It's an Inspiron 17 if it means anything.
Wow thanks a lot! You saved me the trouble of actually going to buy another computer and/or graphics card.
