[rant] Sometimes I really wish there was a way you could send an e-bitchslap Match on SteelPeel, I joined in late, my team was pushed back to their base. So I start getting to work... Yea, that went well... By the end of the match I had destroyed 276 bots(100 more than anyone else on the server and probably 200 more than anyone on my team), earned $10,000+, bought a few lvl3 RockIts, bought Juice left and right and even managing to push the enemy botlanes back to their base at least 3 times. Killed just about every opponent 10 times, pissed off an Assassin on the enemy team(something about proximity bombs) and caused at least 2 ragequits from the enemy. Successfully fended off 3 juiced assassins and 1 Gunner, destroyed Firebases and generally did everything my team should have done. What did my team do? Sit in our base. 2 Snipers and a Gunner, shooting from inside our base. The only person that seemed to be trying was an Assassin(wasn't doing too well, but at least she was trying) Could have won too if only they would have pushed out of the base with me [/rant] I think I may have cracked my desk from headdesking so much :\ Oh, almost forgot, someone not only built, but upgraded a Longshot. Under the spawn ring. On the right-hand side
Whaddayagonnado. When pubbing that's what one gets now and then. I'm content as long as I get to sit at the other end some time or another as well.
I actually had the opposite of this happen. I was playing on Spunky, and the other team had us backed into our base and our moneyball went down a few times, but we managed to push them back and by the end of the match, my team was swarming over their base and we just tore up their moneyball.
I can understand the frustration of a team that doesn't want to step out of the base. I constantly bug my team about getting out, pushing up, keeping up the pressure, and many times I'm stuck with 5 guys who just don't want to leave the base or I have no clue what is going on. The other night I was playing Lazer Razer and I kept wrecking the team's base with juice left and right, but no one ever followed up on my attacks. Fortunately I ended up winning that match, but it's not a happy victory when I feel like I had to do all the work for my team. In fact, I remember seeing in the chat, my fellow team mates saying things like "what happened?" or "wow, how did we win?" -_-
And that is why I don't play on random pubs anymore. I can't count the number of times where the team I'm in just doesn't push even if there's an opening for it.
And if you don't play on random pubs, you complain about feeling useless and not able to do much while scoring top kills/assists/botkills/money and wrecking everybody.
Oh that is nothing, I was in a match where the whole base had level 3 rockits, I had taken out all the opponents rockits and it got into overtime and noone was pushing, so I tried to push and got destroyed by 3 assaults while a tank and sin destroyed us. It was ******* embarrassing to see how **** some players are.
I would even go as far as to say that 90% of people that play on pub servers are greedy little cnuts who either play for kills or are just plain rubbish. No one knows how to defend or push or buy bots or build turrets, it's fcuking putting me off this game big time. I don't like playing solo games as that is not the fcuking point, if I wanted to play solo I would buy BO or one of them **** games.
Had that a few times too where my rather suicidal playstyle helped push the enemy back and win Had a few matches like that as well. A bit annoying when a game gets pushed to OT and I'm the only one that attacks the enemy MB There's been a few occasions where I told the Tanks/Gunners to buy Bouncers and they actually listened, sometimes helping us win the game
