Spoils of the Free Weekend

    So I think that MNC's free weekend was rather successful. I got my friends to buy a 4 pack (they were pretty addicted) and I played with tons of people that were also going to purchase the game.

    What did you get out of the free weekend?

    I got my buddy to buy it. That makes 6 people i've convinced to purchase this game. Sadly only 2 of them play it regularly.

    It almost seems like I should stop playing for the free weekend so I'm not just out right stomping new people and attract more people to the game. But I got to keep up with all these people trying to kick me off the top 10 leaderboards! >_<

    I haven't been able to convince any of my friends to join in on the free weekend. They are terrified of ever meeting and facing me in mortal combat.

    I'm happy to report that the last stragglers from GPG Off Topic have now joined the ranks as well.

    From the statistics I'd guess player numbers are pretty much back to the level we had at release after the end of the free weekend. If we take into account that we are currently in the 'off hours' player numbers might very well go over the release numbers in a few hours.

    MNC is currently #3 on the list of top sellers, beating titles with big names like Assassins Creed Brotherhood and Homefront that have just been released. I can't think of a better way to advertise the game as Indie studio.

    Good to hear you have big plans for the future o!

    PS: Stretch, it might be like Monday Night Combat only without turrents... ;)

    It was fun to see a lot of active servers this weekend. Watching people completely ignore bots going for their moneyball in favor of pros was also funny.
