During my second match, we lost and I had no idea what was going on.

I didn't notice the notifications about the moneyball, and knew nothing about the little health bar for it.

lmao, that was only a few days ago. Ah the memories.

I signed up specifically to post in this thread. The devs have to fix this. Even if it was put in by design, I will always consider it to be an unpatched glitch. It ends so many matches before you even have a chance to enjoy them. I'm sure many people enjoying playing Crossfire and can't get a full party of 6 together to organize blitzkriegs, but making the Moneyball's shields invulnerable to Pros would give every game a chance to get started before it's so abruptly ended. The bots should be the focus of this game mode.

On the lighter side of things, this is my favorite game that I've played in the last 10 years and I've been gaming for nearly 20 so kudos to you! You did an incredible job with MNC.

Wow. If that's a bug, I really hope they fix it. Nothing like saying "What the hell" as your moneyball dwindles down to zero.

Yes, outside of all the small things which annoy me the game is solid and spectacular, a great game.

Maybe Scathis, or another dev could enlighten us on the matter? Maybe it's a glitch or maybe it's intentional, that would force us to play a bit more defensively and could maybe be a natural counter to a support. He'd have to place his turrets more in order to defend the moneyball than to establish footholds further into enemy territory...

I agree that this should be changed asap. The very design of the game requires that players perform a certain amount of actions to buy turrets, upgrade skills, buy juice, or use the Annihilator. All of these actions take time. And as was pointed out by others, escorting the bots is the basic premise of MNC.

If a coordinated group doesn't even need the bots to bring down the ball, a HUGE amount of strategy and fun is lost. Games will degenerate into a race to get to the base first and wipe out the turrets and camp the enemy spawn while the others kill the ball. Not unlike how Alterac Valley in WoW devolved into a rush to the generals, with a minimum of actual PvP instead of a strategic marshalling of troops and resources. This is not the point of the game. It makes the bots useless. And I don't know about you, but I love how you are supposed to escort the bots, it's one of the best things about this game.

So Uber, PLEASE make it only possible for bots to break the Moneyball shield. You guys did a great job with this game, many people enjoy it very much, so please support your game, and the spirit in which the game is supposed to be played.

    Thanks for your time.

I have no idea at all when the ball is being attacked or losing it's shield life, In fact the only way i know if we're losing is if someone is circling around the money ball and all the turrets are destroyed

needs to be some sort of indication or no sense of proper strategy can be asserted

but maybe im just missing something who knows

No, I agree. The notifications as to the Moneyball being attacked are very easy to miss and sometimes they don't seem to come up at all. I'm not saying you should make them absolutely constant and annoying, but find a way to make them catch your attention.

The little white icon is the shield indicator. When it flashes red, it's under attack. I think thats fine enough.

Is there any announcer voice about moneyballs being under attack? that would work well in pubs where half the assassins are just running around getting kills instead of helping the team.

Pros not being able to attack the moneyball? Lame. That's a part of the gameplay, step up and take those guys out.

i attack the moneyball all the time and it takes alot of damage to get the shield down

its part of the game if they rush the moneyball, just escort the bots to there base whlie there busy

Pros shouldn't be able to break the moneyball shields.

It ruins the strategy of the game and the core gameplay of pushing lanes so your bots can bring down the ball.

Posting just to add another name to the list of people who disagree with players being able to just shoot it down. The game isn't unplayable or anything, even if all players were just rushing the moneyball, but I still feel like the bots and lane pushing are what make Crossfire awesome, and separate it from a lot of other games.

Pros being able to attack the money ball doesn't sound intended. Otherwise it would completely invalidate the purpose of bots once people got better at the game.

I am also in agreement. Shields should be damaged by Bots only. Its what set the game apart from every other shooter out there. Or at least give the option to make it "Bots damage shields only"
