Cardboard Tube costume not showing up.

Friend of mine has MNC and the update, however the CBT costume isn't showing up for him. Is the costume available to everybody or only to people that were in the beta?

i have it but i wasnt in the beta

You have to be friends with ekanaut in real life.

Nextreme, have you already tried verifying your game cache through Stream? Maybe your patching process bugged out?

Friend reverified cache and one file was found, however the costume still remains unavailable.

You may need to log out of steam and log back in for it to work. Having the Cardboard Tube Samurai is determined by if you have the "Cardboard Tube Samurai" DLC or not. Steam should be giving this to all currently existing players. If you have the DLC and still don't see the new outfit in the list, please let us know.

See the attached image for where you should be seeing the Cardboard Tube Samurai DLC listed.

update: It should be noted that the Cardboard Tube Samurai gear was a limited time promotional gear for those who owned or bought the game during PAX East 2011. There was also a second Authentic Battle Damage Cardboard Tube Samurai gear that was only available to those who attended PAX East 2011. Those who bought the game after the promotion ended on March 15 2011 will not get the gear.

Friend checked and it says that he has no DLC. He restarted Steam and still nothing.

I have the Outlander costume and no Cardboard Tube Samurai.
No downloadable content shows on my Steam account for Monday Night Combat.

TF2 and cardboard samurai are not showing up for me though outlander is. No dlc and when I verify the game cache steam says it's corrupt and will be reacquired. It attempts to download, but downloads nothing.

I am not getting my samurai dlc either. Just wanted to add to see if you can get a response to uber. As I am a huge Penny Arcade fan I'm pretty bothered by not being able to play it.

I have the same issue, and the DLC does not appear on the DLC tab of the game.
Dunno if its related but i live in West Europe.

DLC ownership is handled by Steam. If you own Monday Night Combat but are not seeing "Cardboard Tube Samurai" show up in your DLC please send me a private message with the following information.

1) Steam account name
2) When you bought the game
3) How you bought the game (directly through steam, redeemed a code, redeemed a gift, redeemed a gift bought via 4-pack, etc)
4) What country you live in.

Once I get a few reports I'll contact Valve and we'll work together to find out why certain accounts aren't being awarded the DLC.

Is the DLC in steam and the PAX stuff the same?

No. There are two different Assassin outfits. One is unlocked via a code only obtained from Uber at PAX.

A small set of users were not properly being awarded the Cardboard Tube Samurai and this has been fixed. It may take a few hours to fully propagate and you may need to restart Steam.

If by tomorrow (3/15, pacific time) you still don't have the DLC please send me a private message containing your steam account name, date of purchase, and country.

Still valid? Just bought the game yesterday and i also don't have the costume. any idea?

I'm having the same issue. I got the game during the Steam sale and nothing in my DLC.

its doubtful that people who got the game during the recent sale will get the cardboard tube samurai gear as it was a promotion for PAX and that was months ago
