Is there an easy way to check if the personal dedicated servera I have running are...well, running, without launching MNC itself?

I tried telnetting against ports 7777-7780 and 27016-27019, but even when the server is up with people on it those don't respond, so I'm guessing they're primarily used for UDP traffic. Is there a TCP port I can bounce against to see if it's at the very least not dead at any given moment?

Thanks. Kinda new to the dedserver gig. :)

Ahh, nice, looks like GameTracker does too.

What? I don't see http://www.gametracker.com with MNC banners. Wish it did!

They're actually detectable as HL2 servers - for ServerInstance 0, use port 27016; for ServerInstance 1, use port 27017, etc. The information isn't entirely accurate, but you can at least see if the server is alive.

Ohh, well, OK... But I wish they had some sort of gametracker option. I use that for all our servers.
