You're playing super mario bros and it's world 1-1. You go to stomp the first measly goomba in the game. At the peak of your jump, suddenly you get hit and lose a life seemingly out of nowhere! Now fast forward to MNC. I AM SICK AND TIRED OF GOING FLYING BECAUSE OF A SLAM THAT I OTHERWISE JUMPED! IT INFURIATES ME TO NO END WHEN A GAME BOILS DOWN TO "YOU LOST BECAUSE THAT JUICE RUSH WAS THWARTED BY LAG AND YOU WENT FLYING BECAUSE OF THE JACKBOT HAHA"! GETTING KILLED IS OKAY! GETTING KILLED UNFAIRLY BECAUSE OF A SPLIT SECOND OF LAG IS -NOT-! I HAVE HAD IT WITH JACKBOTS RINGING ME OUT UNFAIRLY!! I WAS ******* JUMPING! I WAS ******* JUUUUUUMPPIIIIIIING T.T

I understand your pain, but it is simply an unavoidable issue of Uber being unable to acquire dedicated servers for this game.

I've found it's best to jump before he starts to slam.

Maybe you get lag because you get connected to hosts far away. Next time you play a laggy game look at the locations of the other players, if they're far away then maybe a local search option will help you. Bump my thread: viewtopic.php?f=17&t=8506 and maybe we can get an answer from a developer.

I HATE this soooo much. I have to try really hard not to rage quit when this happens especially if I have full juice. What makes it REALLY bad for me is that sometimes it seems like I fly farther because I was in the air when he hit me

Try looking out for the Jackbot and not being within radius of the slam. (Obvious exception is in Overtime.)

Yeah there's a very obvious wind-up animation that plays before the slam. I've had more than my fair share of laggy games, but jumping jackbot slams always seems to work.

Definitely a troll meme serving no purpose other than to troll and/or post count. Sounds like it warrants a weeklong ban with a permanent one to follow if this happens again. I know what I'm doing this time, and it was actually debatable as to whether this one would be permanent.

    Enjoy that ban.

On topic: I HATE the freakin' lag when it comes to Jackbots. I don't know how many times I am on a 23-24 kill streak and a Jackbot slams me out of the air for a ringout. :|

I hear you Jraw. I dunno how many times I've fired off my juice in OT only to be rung out a second later bu a jackbot exiting their spawn during the framerate/juice/OT slideshow.

This, I don't have any problems with avoiding the Jackbot slam when I'm paying attention. You don't time the avoidance the moment as he is hitting the ground, you do it just prior.. even when you're host. Perhaps I got used to it because I used to play a ton of Blitz. I'll often go stand just in front of a Jackbot, because they'll stop in their tracks and keep slamming instead of walking and shooting their canons. When no one else on your team is dealing with the Jackbot and you are not a sniper or assassin, its the best way to slow them down as you are killing them. I do the same thing with support (once i've already used the airstrikes or have none to begin with) but I'll also sacrifice my FB to slow him down because they'll always focus on it/take them out first when they are LOS. Tank/Gunner it is crazy easy to avoid the slam when you're even less than an inch away from them and unloading.
