Bug: Black Background/Sky

    Ok, I'm glad that fixed the bright outline. I was really confused when turning it off didn't work.

    Try setting bloom to false for defaultengine.ini as well. I'm not sure if it'll work, but changing just hostileengine.ini does nothing for my settings.

    .... Where are you seeing this 'defaultengine.ini'?? I can't find it anywhere in the Config folder.

    I am another one of these black sky people, I have an nVidia 7800 GTX, and this bug I know has been reported for quite some time even back in the beta, in a way I am surprised it seems you all have had no luck in re-creating the issue to figure out what is partly ruining this good game for us..

    Today I was checking some videos of MNC and i was shocked how beautiful it looks with a blue sky in the background... I am already so used to see black sky that it looked to me like an improvement which would be nice for the game.
    Dont forget we are waiting for a solution to this problem...

    Have you tried verifying the game cache files under properties for MNC in Steam? This fixed all my purple checkerboard textures in tf2/hl2/css, etc...
