This is a common issue in orbital games, or shared/overlapping spawn games. The addition of allied spawn zones allies for better planning and communication as well. Allied spawns will have a green effect with a animated model of the text allied spinning on it. Player spawns have a blue effect to distinguish them. When a player confirms their spawn everyone on their team will see a small commander matching theirs and similar to their colour hovering above their chosen spawn. Upon landing the models and effects will all vanish. This mod will not work correctly with spawn anywhere as it will limit you to normal spawns and it is untested on shared.

Very important mod, should have been in the base game! Though getting some conflicts with Legion mod, any idea what's that about?
It adds some units for the pings due to how I did it so will conflict much like other unit mods. From what I have seen the merge checkbox in community mods works fine and there should be no issues
Version 1.2 2021-01-07 - removed addition of units for puppets to prevent confusion and merge issues with unit mods. - removed showing allied players exact spawn area as additional spawn circles seemed to raise more confusion than the utility they gave.
Why launch a new version hoping it fixes it? Just test it. Also, I believe CMM monitors all modinfo changes these days, so you don't need to change version or date to fix the icon.
yeah should have, for some reason assumed that the icon would only be pulled if the link was published for non local links. wasn't aware that all of modinfo was monitored. will keep it in mind for future.
