Hi, I am currently about to release my biome mod. Its called Ematarkus Moar Biomes. It consists of several mixed-terrain biomes, and one metal-water terrain. Interesting, I'll have to look at the code to see how it works. Do you think it'd be possible to create an earth biome that has ice within the polar circles, then a bit of grass/green for a few meridians then evenly distributed trees in the middle. The idea is to use it for unshared north vs south maps where each lane has room to build without trees in the base and then everyone has access to the same amount of trees and you need to conquer/secure land to be able to reclaim them.

That what I've got for now, using 1/1/1: forest wall Treeparadise: (concept only. this variant is not released) 3) do you want me to remove the trees in the polar grass area? I assume yes? 4) do you want the grass-forest or the jungle-forest in the middle area?
Yes, create it please . 1/ treeparadise, treeequality? 2) ice should just be the caps of the planet. the band of just green/grass should be thin, it's just so we don't go from ice to trees (it can be removed if needed). most of the planet should be covered in trees. See attached screenshot:
Awesome, that was fast! 4/ for the middle area (the equator), you can use what you think look best and what gives the best distribution of trees. 3/ you can remove the trees near the poles or maybe make it so that there's even less trees? (small patches of trees?). up to you. Can you make the ice part a bit bigger, please?
Treeparadise added in version 0.7.3: The plain-grass area also contains some ice clumps. added a icy_plain_grass terrain for the treeparadise biome.
Yes i like that too. I might increase the metal portion a bit in future... Much to experiment with...
For some biomes that will be the case unfortunatelly. Just decrease the planet size then. I think the more different terrain and CSG used, the longer the planet will take to load. In treeparadise for example I increased the amount of trees. Sure that will slow down things a lot. even ingame probably. But normally, the other planets shouln't be too slow and I had only normal load times until now. Can't tell you more as I dont have more insight.
0.8.0: More biomes! Especially hava a look at tropical_3 YouTube-Video: However, a bit finetuning is necessary. The mod change should be available via mod manager.
