Return of Community Dedicated Server!

Summertime is almost here and what better way to celebrate summer than with huge Planetary Annihilation battles? Uber is happy to announce we are funding the return of the Community Dedicated Server. This will allow PA and Titans players to participate in games with up to 32 players. We just wanted to let everyone know it's now online!

We are looking forward to seeing more @wpmarshall videos of 32 player FFAs. In the mean time check out this 15 player FFA from wpmarshall:

This should be announced on the Steam news/announcement feed for PA, otherwise a lot of people will never know it happened. It's for more than just patch announcements.

Can you please also allow my dedicated server to appear in the lobby? I have already made it available via direct connect, and it has been in use almost constantly for two weeks now. All I am asking is to be able to access it via the browser like all other people access their own servers.

The server's IP is 107.155.84.134

If it is banned from CMM (as I think it is), please tell me why, and what I must do to get it unbanned.

What has this server done to deserve to be excluded from the community?

Currently, the community dedicated server is the only server that has been approved by our GDPR lawyer.

yea EU is quite serious with dataprotection especialy since zuckerberg´s screwup ..

Factorio has hundreds if not thousands of player-run servers.

Rust has hundreds too, and with each server hosting 100-500 players for weeks and months, not 32 for 30 minutes.

I haven't heard of them being restricted in any way, let alone get delisted or removed, and those games are orders of magnitude more popular than PA, which means that if lawsuits come, they will hit those games first.

But again, I know nothing about the law. Still, this all seems a tad paranoid to me, and of course very disruptive to a tiny community struggling to merely survive.

let me get this straight .... is the community dedicated server currently the only one we can play on??

It's the only dedicated server that will currently show in the games browser.
