Anyone here use OBS to stream? One nice thing about cube map images is that you can string 4 of them together for a panoramic image. Then use that image as a background banner in one of your between-game scenes. "But Lula Mae", you say, "that image is 4096 x 1024. It's too wide for the screen". Here's the fun part - You set the image up to scroll behind your message, like you may have seen on Marshall's casts. Here's the even more fun part - Since you are using images from a cube map, there is no end to your scrolling image. This is because the far right edge of the image matches perfectly with the far left of the image, so it's seamless. How cool is that? I may put together a how-to video later, but below is a banner for this Purple Haze skybox. (right-click to save as) I can probably put together banners from earlier skyboxes upon request if I still have the original images.
