Icarus are too weak please buff

    Icarus deal less damage than doxes please buff damage or make price more less. i know that icarus produce energy but not enough.

    if we dont buff icarus it would be too useless.

    Yeah, make it a tank land unit at three times the cost of a dox with 1.5x the attack power. Backup option for when you get power raided by dox. The icarus being an air unit is a joke, with air being the clumpy lump of **** it is.

    At least this way an "icarus" unit could be viable for more than bored troll cheese.

    so do you have any idea of how to buff it, as you said before doxes dominate icarus so if uber doesn't buff the icarus it would be a very useless unit only for just annoying enemies

    they could make it generate energy based on doing some kind of risky maneuver like flying in one direction for a while and buffing its health a bit. they would generate energy more efficiently than power generators but require some baby-sitting. seems interesting to me anyways....

    Not technically possible, and also a bad idea. This is not a micro-based game.

    Just buff their HP so that they can take 2-3 missiles from fighters.

    Technically impossible? sure i have no clue. but I don't think setting some planes on a large patrol route and making sure they don't get blown up is so much more micro intensive than building a structure and making sure it doesn't get blown up that it would break the feel of the game.
    I'm not sure how a health buff on its own will make them usable unless they do way more damage or generate way more power than I thought. maybe just make them a t1 interplanetary unit similar to the t2 fighter but slow and terrible like now.
    ...or make them an actual orbital unit of some kind, they do have the aesthetic.

    my idea of buffing the icarus is changing the price to 100 give it more firerate,damage and speed
    so it would be the t1 gunship

    I have two ideas for Icarus not sure how possible they are.

    1st.
    Give the Icarus stealth kinda like the mines where is can only be seen by with scouts (land and air) and combat fabbers.

    2nd - most likely not possible.
    Have the Icarus weapon stack up in power when you have more than one Icarus close together.
    Similar
    to the prism tank/tower from red alert two.

    i agree with mwreynold of his second idea
    the weapon stack up power
    but i want to modify the idea.
    first icarus you build is alone
    the second one links to the first one and fuses together
    the same thing for 3
    when the 4th one fuses it creates an core
    all four icarus together has rapid fire lasers that they normally fire
    each time a plane fuses it increases speed by 0.5
    damage by 0.25
    and fire rate by 1
    btw this also applys to icarus when their are fusing to create a core so if you have 2 icarus together it will still add
    and the last thing is the core will fuse with only t1 units
    the reason it cant fuse with t2 units is because it will get too op
    it can fuse with 12 t1 units creating an big square formation
    the planes that fuse will still keep its ability so if you have 12 bombers fuse there will be alot of bombs
    but if you keep fusing icarus it will keep on increasing the amount of planes fused together
    the maxium amount of icarus fused together is 20
    if you have 9 icarus fused you can fuse 28 t1 air units together to form an big giant flying fortress
    once the plane is fused with an core their health gets combined too so they wont get destroyed seperated
    the sizes of cores
    small sized core {4 icarus} ={12 slots for t1 planes} [speed:2][damage:1][fire rate:4]
    medium sized core {12 icarus}{20 slots for t1 planes}[speed:6[damage:3][fire rate:12]
    max sized core {20 icarus}={28 slots for t1 planes}[speed:10][damage:5][fire rate:20]
    but still these features are still weak agenst t2 intersepters or t1 intersepter spam

    That can't be done, the game lacks such mechanics. The Icarus fix that N30N made is pretty good, if you want to try it, check for games hosted with the mod Equilibrium (balance fix mod) It makes it more or less a weak gunship that costs half as much as a fighter and is useful for sniping fabs and small groups of units
    (similar to the Legion Marauder)
    That creates some interesting balance with the bomber: Icarus are better at taking out individual units while bombers destroy armies

    how is it suppose to take out fabbers
    fabbers will reclaim icaruses.......
