So update: I have clean booted my pc. all drivers are up to date. i have clean installed multiple times. still the exact same bug. no fix seems to work so far
Do you know if there have been any Nvdia driver updates? I've noticed two other players with similar crashes in the Nvidia drivers that may be related. I'm wondering if there may have been a bug introduced in the latest drivers. Could you try downgrading to an older driver in for example the 372 series. You can get the older drivers here: http://www.geforce.com/drivers But you'll need to manually select your GeForce GTX 980 in the drop down list to get a list of the older drivers.
