Since we're missing one of these, I thought I'd just go ahead and stick it up. Once again I'm going to give Gruen a plug because you all need to see it: (actual length is 45 min) Obligatory Stranger Things is awesome. And I just discovered Brooklyn 99. Which is hilarious. And gets bonus points for using plenty of Star Wars references.
Spoiler: fair warning you mean the evolution of the plot is too slow? what's the issue to you? i really haven't been disappointed thus far. everytime a series starts to veer "Lost" it's dead to me then and there much like what happened to me for ascension (which you should watch the first two episodes of without hesitating for a split second). but so far the narrative feels to me as if it's progressing steadfast and they're not doing anything to "waste time" and they know the story they want to tell. Unless something goes horridly wrong the next episodes should continue being just as good. for me I can't help thinking this is the people's voice answer to Hollywood wanting to cram Blade Runner 2 and Ghost in the Shell Live action down our throats despite everyone being over-abundantly clear there's nothing we want less. this is what "modern-day ghost in the shell" should be IMO. not a damn reboot with less heart put in then a end-of-evening-far-from-sober fart. Westworld's visual style is incredibly reminiscent of Cyberpunk 2077's trailer (btw there's been a resurgence of that on social media everywhere especially 9gag for absolutely NO reason) and I really do hope this series goes down the "action" route at least a little. there's so much matter there it'd be a shamenot to tap into it with what they've set up.
SWEET CHRISTMAS. Yeah, pretty meh. Not very engaging when your protagonist is literally completely indestructible for 70% of the show.
that actualy was the least problem i had with it ( and it was only one season) ... but i can't exactly put my finger on were the series was lacking ..
So this went up on Netflix: Pretty disappointing tbh, it's kinda just a glorified Top 6 countdown show with some vaguely Mythbustery theme. That episode about "tech we hate" was actually trash though.
