Began: Installed by Steam Slow load, but eventually did. Started a new game. Played around 45 minutes. Save and quit. Save took a _long_ time. Opened game and loaded save. Seemed fine, but was having issues using other MacOS windows and apps when alt-tabbing from PA:TITANS. Had to sleep. System shutdown. New day. Tried to play. Took _forever_ to load. Tried to start a new game. Let me choose a mech. Started fresh campaign. Started fight on new planet. Loaded old save, but missing my main wee baby mech. Tried removing/gutting some of the system files trying to nuke out that old save. Can't load game. Stays stuck on 'mounting mods'. I didn't install any mods. Deleted everything. Re-installed via Steam. Verified. Can't load game. Stays stuck on 'mounting mods'. Used --nomods Can't load game. Stays stuck on 'mods disabled --nomods'. Deleted it all again. Downloaded Uberent Launcher from site after linking to my steam account. First load worked! Still trying to load old save. -_- I tried removing and blah blah. Many things too numerous to name. Now it's from _STEAM_ download. Trying to load again. Stuck on the load screen mods junk. Here are TWO of my most recent logs. edit: cannot paste links to cryptbin I'd _really_ like to play this game on my Mac... I'm super frustrated. I liked PA, and look forward to getting to enjoy this one! When it worked that first time, it worked great!
cryptbDOTin /mdegyL0 cryptbDOTin /HedsfSGi Sorry, it's just that when I paste the log in here, it complains it's over 1000 characters.. so I tried this. Then it complained the link was not whitelisted. -_-
What mac model identifier and how much RAM? Absolute nothing of interest in those logs. Try the following: delete the download folder in your PA data directory (same place as logs) rename the localstore folder to localstore-backup Then post some more logs.
... I'm sorry the logs were not to your liking? Lol Anyway, after doing that, the game loaded up just fine. I'm really not sure what to make of that tbh. I loaded. Exited. Tried again. Worked both times. Only after doing that delete and rename.
Please compress the localstore-backup folder and email the zip to mikeyh@palobby.com Did you have a really old copy of classic PA installed before downloading Titans?
I successfully played for a couple hours now. No issues whatsoever. Thank you very much for the help. Issue closed. Solution was to delete the download folder in your PA data directory (same place as logs) rename the localstore folder to localstore-backup
Don't forget to still mail the compressed localstore-backup to mikeyh as that may help in preventing others from experiencing the same issue that you had.
