This is perhaps a small thing, but can we make quitting a game before it's done to show as a 'loss' in your gaming record? I'm getting tired of games where over half of the losing team will quit when it's apparent that they're going to lose, usually only a minute or two before it happens.

Great, there's a leaderboard to compare with your friends, and your W/L ratio is indeed impressive. But if you leave every time you're about to lose, it's not only dishonest to your friends, it's cheap in-game, your [ex-]teammates aren't happy about it, and the other team gets the thrill of actual victory taken from them [what's the challenge in winning a 6v2 match?].

Some of us; it won't affect. I don't believe I've ever quit mid-game, so my W/L ratio is probably lower than some. I don't much care about that. And while there might be a few people who genuinely have to leave mid-game, it shouldn't happen all that often.

where do you even see your losses?

i would like to know my W/L ratio...

i assumed it didn't keep count for this very reason

if it DOES keep track of losses somewhere, I'd say that leaving should only count as a loss if your team's moneyball is down

The "Locker Room" option on the main page has a fair number of stats. The leaderboards also have a section for W/L as well. I never noticed these types of quits before these options came out, either.

It's not w/l it's just wins. So no, they don't keep track of losses.

I'm glad that they don't keep track of losses. I believe that we'll always have sore losers, particularly in this game where teams are small and potentially lop-sided. But yeah, I personally hate the idea of recording loses in a team-based game that you can join mid-match.

Reminds me of a game someone mentioned on another forum. I believe it was set up so that once a match started, you couldn't exit the match, nor could you join one in progress

I also kinda wish remaining time was listed in the server browser. At least 5 times I've joined a game only for it to end the moment it all loaded up

Unplug the computer, and then plug it back in?

There will always be a way out lmao. Otherwise, I would be in support of a system punishing rage-quitters.

    Well yea, of course 8P
The guy made it sound like there was no regular Exit option and I believe there was a comment about ragequitting could get you a temp-ban

LoL when you join a game you have to play it to the end and you can't join another game until this one ended. PC restart doesnt effect it, it will just bring up a screen where you can reconnect to the previous game, which is quite nice in this game, but i dont think it would work too good in MNC.

    Let ragequitters ragequit.

Now don't get me wrong, I generally do not support ragequitting as a rule. It's just that the people who ragequit are generally also the people who complain. They complain about team-mates, they complain about balance, they complain about maps, they complain about the fact that the slimbot isn't slim enough and that you don't win the lottery in real life every time you kill a jackbot.

I hate it when people complain. More than just about anything I can think of that isn't absolutely abominable(brussel sprouts come to mind).

I get that it happens in any multiplayer game, just don't take away their incentive to leave a game I enjoy. I don't enjoy their company. Feel free to hate them, just don't force them to stay.

The last minute or so get messed up because of a mass exodus on the losing team, big deal, the next game will be all the better without them. Whining detracts more from the game than a loss in my opinion.

Wouldn't it be a good idea to use the money earning to prevent pre-match end quits like this?

Just make none of your earnings from in-game count towards your cash-on-hand or career earnings until the match is completed. You leave early, you get $0.

That IS the way it is. You leave early you get no money.

    What is early anyway?
Before the MoneyBall is blown up? Final score/payout tally? Team selection screen?

Hm, maybe make each match have an "entry fee" that's a percentage of your remaining cash on hand. Play the match all the way through and you get that cash back along with your match money, ragequit and you lose that cash.

Problem is how the game is going to figure out if it's a ragequit or legitimate exit

I think the punishment of losing your cash earned is good enough for rage quitting. I don't see a problem with the other team leaving if they know they are going to lose nor do I see this as taking away from my victory. I worked my way up to pushing into their base and destroying their money ball. Just because 2 pros run out instead of 6 to try and stop my juiced team won't change the outcome either way.

For paying in a certain amount to play a game from your cash on hand. What about people with unreliable connections. Or how about the blantantly lieing ping system. There is no way I'm getting 5 ping and getting grappled from 10 feet from where I was standing. I quit those servers and find a more reliable one. That would be especially punishing for me since I have over 1.5 mill in cash on hand.

I believe you have to wait for the game to hit the lobby before you actually get your earned money, K/D ratio, and all your awards. I've had friends that left at the end score board after the money ball pops and saw no difference in their earned cash from the match before.

Things are fine as they are.
If you dont finish the game you dont get your earnings.

Which is why I have been cheated out of ~$50,000.
95% of my games end with my computer crashing.
I have already unfairly lost tons of money for it, and now you want me to pay an even heavier fee? For what? Because either Unreal Engine or Steam or both are unstable?

    Subject should be dropped.

Before this can be implemented, there should be a displayed time on the server selection. It will not be good to randomly join a game, and the team you end up with already getting their moneyball stomped.
