Game complete freezes my pc when starting a game

Hey there,
I have PA for a long time. Played some with my friend a while back.
But now when i tried to start a game its building the plannets and then my PC is completly freezing!
I looked at alle the steam forums for a possible solution but nothing seems to help. Also Switched of my Antivirus (eset Not compatible????) of thats the problem but nothing helps.

A fix for my problem please? It's really frustrating that is has been working but not anymore

Verify the game files.

i just installed the whole game again after a fresh OS install.
Yesterday i tried to play the game on W10, this morning i installed W7 to check if that would help but no diffrense

Verifed the game, tried to start it again.
When the game starts to load the map i now get a black screen instead of my PC completly freezing.
But pa.exe stopped working

Just tried to start a skirmish with ai, no difrense Black screen for a couple of secs then PA.exe stopped working

Need some more logs for an AI skirmish with different map and can you try playing online with:

• settings > server > local server > off

changed the server settings. tried to start a new game with a diffrent planet system. Still same thing happening, black screen, pa stopped working

Do you have any special characters in your steam name?

Also make sure you are testing AI skirmish with one of the default systems.

I dont use anny mods. I just installed the game and used one of the plannet systems that are in the game. i tried the lock crag and forge systems .
my steam name is gekkoo1991 so no special characters in my steam name

Check this list, disable any screen capture software and look for anything that messes with network connections:

Did you also try the clean boot option at the end of that list that mikeyh linked to?

By the way, does it make a difference if you play full screen or windowed? You can switch between them by pressing <Alt>+<Enter>, I think. Does it matter on which monitor the game is running? Does it still happen if you disconnect one of the monitors?
