Bluehawk won't stop when it is close enough to the enemy. It is very difficult to use them while keep them alive. Sheller has 260 range which is far more safer for kiting.
If you can't fix that you can just increase metal cost to 30000-40000 and add new build version. At this time its not interesting play against legion on multiplanet system.
I have already tested a version that Elodea updated to give the Comet a 3 second delay after it shows up on a new planet, just like the Helios.
v0.14.1 - 2016/06/11 General AI updated for Starcannon changes Balance Comet nerf: Added 3 second cooldown on arrival at a new planet Starcannon buff: Can now build the Orbweaver Fixes Stoke and Corsair now display the correct cost to build AI no longer tries to have the Praetorian build things it can't
I also posted the information about the Comet which is too cheap to do the job of Helios. But I want to ask other question today. What's the point of Nova? And when should I build it? For most situations, the air-to-air fight only needs the fighters. And Nova can only attack once. I have no idea when the player should build the Nova instead of Scythe.
In regards to the nova it is not meant to replace the sythe. What it is good for is dealing with massive enemy aerial deathballs. If you get those novas in there boom, good bye enemy deathball. I haven't played a lot recently myself due to uni exams, but from testing I see in the chat room this is meant to be the case since the nova has pretty large aoe. I may be wrong, so if this is the case @elodea feel free to tell me off.
I prefer to think of the Nova as an air mine. Using the Cover The Line mod, you can quickly spread them out along a perimeter and then let enemy air fly right into your trap.
All of the above, as well as this: Legion fighters cannot fire backwards. If you always have a few nova in your air army and the other guy doesnt, then you will always be able to chase and kill him where he cannot fire backwards at you. If he fights you, he will be at disadvantage. Nova also deploys when 'killed', so you can fly them around like normally and they may become balls of death where there are lots of units.
You can see the nova do its work a bit right at this link https://www.twitch.tv/alpha2546/v/71608349?t=05h52m45s No micro happened after I clicked the move order to defend against the ground army and thus they all went poof by that ball of light. Ouchie
Question: How does the Legion player detect the water mine which is placed by Barnacle? Remora? It is in T2. Does Legion lack the T1 water mine detector unit?
so, I was recommended this by a friend who I was griping to about PA being kinda boring unitwise and said 'what the hell.' so, I decided to install it, however I'm having the small problem that the Legion commanders apparently have no build UI. or unit UI. or anything other than a selection icon and model, seeing as they don't actually shoot at anything (I have a teeny custom map I use to practice com-boxing) so something tells me something went wrong somewhere. any ideas?
Do you have any other mods besides Legion installed/active? If so I would recommend disabling them. Legion is a complex mod and other mods might interfere with it
If what you're mentioning doesn't work you could try air lifting a guardian within range. Away from computer for now so can't check.
I believe it can work, but it is still very inconvenient. I don't want to build the tank factory in Pacific map. How about just letting the Legion naval fabricator to detect the water mine?
Does Legion have any good land units to counter the Ares spam? Currently, I think the only method for Legion to do that is using Loki or Tyr. The ground units of Legion doesn't match the Ares. Another question is for Legion to counter the leveler. Should T2 Legion tanks go faster than the the leveler? It seems that the leveler gets everything good, such high HP and OP DPS. If some of the Legion T2 tanks go slower than leveler, I think they should be more powerful than leveler. Otherwise, they should go faster, or at least not slower than leveler.
Most of the MLA units were made so that they perform different roles, so that T1 units remain useful even after T2 happens. The big exception is the Leveler. Metal for metal, the Leveler is the most OP unit in the game, which caused balance problems for the Legion team. Its HP and DPS per metal is way more than it should be. Since the Leveler will almost always be used, it had to be used by the Legion team to balance many of the units. Let me respond to your question with a question. If Legion had an equal or better version of the Leveler, why would anyone play MLA? However, I assure you that Legion has the ground units to adequately counter Levelers. Mix units and use tactics is the only hint I'll give.
