Matiz appears to be fulltime Grey Goo at the moment and is in this Saturday's tournament series qualifier. If he makes top 4 that puts him into the finals in January and in contention for a $10,000 top prize.

Let's be sure to cheer him on on the stream. It's at 1pm GMT this Saturday.

Well done matiz good luck at Pax.

I watch couple of the last games. I guess I'm biased but compared to the PA 2v2 torument today, grey goo seems slow, small and a bit dull. Very fast to snow ball with very little come back chance.

It was funny when the casters where saying how they haven't seen more high tech units in the grey goo tournaments so far. Can't help but think this is likely due to maps/balance.

The Goo are the only thing GG has going for it, and I love them. The unit variety is meh, but the idea behind it is rock solid :)

Matiz is going to be playing soon. Pool 2 (the one Matiz is in) will be starting in ~30 minutes. Don't know the precise time he will be playing though.

He lost in about 2 minutes. It's double elimination though, so he gets one more chance.

It's not as bad as it sounds. Goo vs Goo games are always so fast because the only correct move is to take everything and rush the middle of the map. At that point it just comes down to minor timings and micro as to which goo eats the other first. The game is a bit broken when it comes down to goo v goo.

Said nerves got to him in game 1, but now he's over that and expects to make it to the finals of his group.
