I recently got the game and have been playing in the AI skirmishes. Every other game or so, PA will crash. I can still hear the music, and the in-game mouse is still visible, but it goes to my desktop. I am unable to interact with my desktop, but I can interact with my toolbar. Tried updating my graphics card drivers, no dice.
Do you have any software from the following list? http://steamcommunity.com/app/233250/discussions/2/558751813508748383/ There are also a bunch of error reports at the end of your DxDiag.txt concerning the AMD drivers, but check the list first.
Thanks for replying! I don't have any of the programs on the list, however I am using the AMD game recording software as well as a network sniffer called GlassWire. I tried uninstalling the drivers then reinstalling, but had the same results.
Can you try doing a clean boot? Instructions are here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135/ By the way, with "toolbar", you mean the thing in the bottom of PA where the friend list and such are, right? Can you make a screen shot next time?
I was talking about the windows toolbar. The screen goes black then switches to my desktop, but the mouse icon from the game is still present. I'll try the clean boot.
