Now that Planetary Annihilation has been released, what is happening with the documentary? Is there a planned release date for it? How long will it be? How do I watch it?

    Thank you,
    Chris

    Hi !

The Documentary is not out yet.
Not sure if there is an official date for now...

I guess efforts will be put on it after closing the physical goods point !

All we know is they are actively working on it. How active we have no idea.

That is good news. I was hoping that they didn't consider the live streams the documentary.
Does anyone know if it will be a single 1-2 hour or multiple films like Double Fine Adventure documentary (

No idea on the specifics, but they're definitely working on it. Again, I'm sure they have other things to focus on at the moment, like moar features 'n stuff, but it's not been forgotten about.

It's still on our list. :) I don't have an ETA at this time.

I think the current phase of development should be well-featured in the documentary. It will be interesting.

This is one of those things that I wish/hope that Uber has hired a third party to make the documentary and that they have been documenting things on a continuous basis. I really hope that it's not "we haven't done anything but will get to it at some future date" and then start the documentary five years after the kickstarter. I just think that a lot would be lost to people's memories and employees leaving. It would be cool to see some of the recording of the music, the moment when the alpha/beta/gamma went live, other shenanigans, one time events only happen once and if it's not captured at the time then all we'll get is someone's description of it.

I think one of the first things recorded for the documentary was my interview at Uber, so we have been recording stuff as the game was made.

Has there been any progress on the documentery? Any ETA on it being released?
I did find this on gamasutra:

    blogs/JohnComes/20151222/262444/Planetary_Annihilation_The_Journey_of_a_Kickstarter.php

The article only seemed to increase my desire for the documentery.
    The anticipation is almost unbearable.

To answer my own question, in the Gamasutra article there is a chart documenting the timeline of Planetary Annihilation. In that chart, it states the Documentary is going to come out on 2/1/2016.
Is this true? Less than a month till Documentary release?
