    Bonjour/Bonsoir !

    @SXX

Can you help with this one.

First dxdiag shows: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470
Second dxdiag shows: Intel(R) HD Graphics

Looks like both out of date drivers and a bad driver install/uninstall.

    It's even odder than that:
    Code:
      Card name: Intel(R) HD Graphics
      Manufacturer: ATI Technologies Inc.

AMD making Intel HD graphics? Seems somewhat unlikely.

sfc /scannow should theoretically fix corrupted system files, right?
(Des instructions sont ici: https://support.microsoft.com/fr-fr/kb/929833 . Redémarrez votre ordinateur après.)

Unfortunately this is normal behaviour for these laptops and not corrupted system files.
So what needed to make it work:
    1. Remove both Intel and AMD drivers via Control Panel "Add/Remove Programs"
    2. Check what Device Manager showing for graphics adapters.
    3. Use "Uninstall" on them till they both show "Standard VGA Graphics Adapter".
    4. Once that done system should be clean, so then install Intel driver for 1st generation.
    5. Then install AMD mobility drivers.
Sadly both AMD and Intel websites are messed up now so it's even harder than it's was before.

PS: Normal desktop drivers won't work! You'll need to find older "mobility" package somewhere on internet.

It's not corrupted system files, that won't help. Reason why it's appear like that it's because for some marketing reasons HP modified Intel drivers version string so customers see that laptop have ATI graphics too. E.g by default it's using Intel and ATI/AMD one not even appear in DxDiag except devices section.

Bizarre. Then again, I guess HP has done weirder stuff. :)

All Windows laptop drivers are weird except Nvidia one.

Intel had reasonable website with catalog in past and now it's gone. It's really unlikely that automatic installer going to download drivers for 1st generation of Intel HD (worth to try though).

AMD now return "legacy" desktop drivers for laptop selection. I'm 99% sure that they won't work with switchable graphics.

Yeah, Intel updated their website (as did AMD), making it much harder to find the correct drivers. Though in this case, it seems to be the i3-370M processor, which is of the Arrandale family. According to this, the driver should be available for download here: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/81503/Intel-HD-Graphics-for-Intel-Core-Processors

For Windows 7, they have something called Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator Driver, which may or may not be the actual drivers. The naming confuses me since there is no "HD" in the name. Also those drivers are from 2013. Still newer than what kratha has now probably.
